In an HD generation, PS3 is first class while Xbox 360 is second class

By HD generation, I mean an era where gamers can get the best visuals out of their TVs and sounds out of their speakers. 360 fanboys can say all they want about PAST games on the 360. But be honest; those games like Halo 3, Gears, Forza, etc. look more and more dated by the likes of MGS4, Uncharted, Gran Toursimo 5, MLB 08: The Show, etc.

Here's what makes the PS3 first class for HD gamers:

1. The best features out of the box: Reliability, Blu-ray player, Quiteness, Wi-Fi, Hard-dsik drive, free on-line, web browser, etc.

2. The most technoglically advanced game ever created--Metal Gear Solid 4.

3. The most advanced audio. Period. Blu-ray disk has enough space for devlopers to use the best sounds in their games.

5. The biggest game of 2008, Resistance 2, according to Gamepro which claims Resistance 2 to be better than Halo 3 and bigger than Call of Duty 4.

7. Controller has motion-sensing capability.

8. The most future-proof. This means the PS3 has the processors and disk space for games to get much bigger and better. It's rather obvious that the 360 is nearing its limits while the PS3, which has already produced the most advanced games on the market to date, still has more room to improve.

I hate to say it, but the war between PS3 and 360 is becoming more and more lop-sided in favor of the PS3. No wonder why most analysts say the 360 will become dead last this generation behind the PS3 and the Wii. It's become less and less fun attacking the 360 because I am starting to feel sorry for it.

The PS3 may not have been so good, had M$ not been so determined.

The PS3 version is considered the superior Version by RockStar and the Game Industry. There is more to meets the eye than just resolutions.

MGS4 looks better than masseffect, I have both games dont try and tell me that the talking scenes with face close up's is what you are talking about. MGS4 graphics blow it out of the water. 3- More AAA exclusives(4 versus 1 on gamespot. 3 versus 1 on metacritic). and yes I know MGS 4 is AAAAE on gamespot
4- More AA exclusives(10-4 on gamespot, 11- 6 on metacritic)

That also doesn't include PC/360 games which can't be played on the PS3. Call of Duty 2, Mass Effect, Condemned 1, Command and Conquer 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth, Viva Pinata, etc)

PS3 is good at best. Mainly because this gen Microsoft has been far more determined to get the core gamers than the PS3 was. PS3 has all the tech to back it up.

But Microsoft has put huge funding on games.

MS published games versus Sony published games. MS has trumped Sony.

Heck MS has published Gears of War, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Forza Motorsport 2 4 AAA games versus Sony which has published zero.

We already covered this information months ago. You can dig up old threads, read the reviews at IGN, GS, GI, etc.

From what I remember, the PS3 version offered almost no loading, Much less popup, smoother framerate, better graphics, etc at apparently the price of a lower resolution and install.

Rockstar already spoke on the matter, and most reviews say, the differences are minimal, but if you have a PS3, that's the better version. Like Burnout.

Yeah Haze running at 576p upscaled to 720p is pretty embarrasing. However, when games are more optomised later on, I am sure that they can achieve higher than 720p natively, while still getting arounf 40fps etc.

Bottom line is that the HD era of consoles is a joke. It was nothing but smoke and mirrors that MS and Sony blew up our backsides.

the ps3 version has a softer look because of all of the post processing used. had the devs not implemented said actions, the ps3 version would look worse than the 360. case in point, every multiplat made this gen.

We all had a laugh at you, I am replaying mass effect as we speak, I also completed MGS4 the other day, and am replaying that also. Dont call me a cow I have bashed the ps3 when it had no games, now I am defending it when it deserves it. Ah, I've read too many reviews but I ended up buying both, as I have friends in both communities. Sadly...my 360 buds don't play GTA 4 online like they used to. COD4 is tops again, apparently. My PS3 buds all are doing MGS4.

Like I said earlier, Xbox fanboys can only talk about past games, ones that aren't very technologically advaced by 2008 standards. I can say the PS2 more AAAA, AAA, AA games than the 360 but the PS2 games aren't as advanced as the 360 games. The 360 has more games because it came out a year earlier. I repeat: the most advanced games are found on the PS3. For HD supporters, the Playstation 3 is by far the way to go.

The 360 version does have a better framerate, as well as 2xAA while the PS3 version has none. Also is native HD unlike the PS3 version like stated earlier.

I was not so much bashing you as I was stating facts. I have seen alot of your post's and know you are one of the better posters on these forums and seem unbiased. I was just stating that the *true hd* dosent matter, I think the games this gen look great and the true hd has not affected them as faras Im conserned.

I'm no cow, I don't even own a PS3 (I'm mainly a PC gamer), but even MGS4 upscaled to 1080p resolution looks beautiful, and though the framerate does dip below 30 fps at times, it's never low enough to be unplayable or unenjoyable, I'm guessing low 20's at worst. I think the TC might have a point or two in his flamebait of a thread.

First party PS3 titles are looking better then anything the 360 can dishout and games like Uncharted and MGS4 are really showing that. I think it's a safe bet to think that the best looking console games will be on the PS3.
