In how many years would you prefer to see next-gen consoles ?

Hmm I can't see results without voting. But I really don't care much how long it takes.

2019 - 2020

Ps4 pro released last winter and one x released 2017 winter Id say 2021.

Give 4 years before upgrade to xbox 2 and ps 5.

It would be great if my current TV and Xbox One lasted 5 more years with new games.

• PS5 = holiday 2019 - 6 years is fine
• Switch 2 = holiday 2020 - 3 and a half years is ok. The weak hardware is going to need a refresh.
• Xbone 2 = holiday 2018 - 5 years is ok. Gen 9 exclusives. Better Japanese support. They need to get that jump on PS5 on sales / game support.

But Microsoft is messing things up with Xbone X.

In 4 Years people are gonna be on the 8k wagon but 2020-2021 seems about right.

It doesn't really matter to me if they release a brand new console. As long as they'll still produce more games on this gen of consoles then I'm still a happy man. I hate when devs becomes lazy porting games to older consoles just like what Bioware did w/ Dragon Age Inquisition on the Ps3 or Xbox. They made them HORRIBLE.

You think so ? I have a doubt there will be games in 2020 that will run on a console at 8K / 60 fps . As you see GPU technology progressing ... very slow. PCs might be viable for 8K though but consoles ? Naaah... Majority of people worldwide dont even own a 4K TV to begin with as we speak.

I'd rather they wait until they can pack in hardware that is night and day different compared to the previous gen, not just an incremental upgrade.

I don't think 2-3 years from now is enough tbh.

1 year. The consoles are still woefully underpowered yet trying to hop on the 4k craze. More compromises for ports and ass framerates. I still blame consoles for the lack of good dedicated gaming TVs.
