That's pretty amazing. I see Mario Galaxy, Brawl, and Assassin's Creed in the running as well, but to think that one company has 3 games in the same year each GOTY calibur is insane.

On top of those 3, all I can really think of is Crysis. People say the high spec's will let it down, but I don't see why it should be rated depending on the users PC. I can understand for console games, where its made for one system, & should be tuned for it though.

I personally want to see Halo 3 take it, & end the series with a GotY. I doubt SSBB will take it, as its history on gamespot has been A-AA so far, even though both games where easily AAA in my eyes. Not sure about Mario Galaxy haven't really looked into it.

As for Assassins Creed, I believe it will have the same impact as Shadow of the Colossus did. An innovative game, which provides hours of fun & re-playability, but nothing epic like Gears was.

Even if it gets a 9.5, Halo 3 will nudge it out.

I think Mass Effect is more than maybe its definately the most exciting game coming out after Halo 3 on the 360, and if not another "true next gen" exiperence. Lets just hope it lives up to the hype, but from the reactions from previewers, they seem awe struck.

My guess in more than that.Considering how Gamespot picks the nominees , they usually try and spread the wealth around with systems and genres when they can ..... but I think this years nominees will reflect the year of the FPS because it is just that. Those FPS games are studs.

They picked 10 last year. What I think it could look like if they all turn out like people expect them to ......

The biggest snub could possibly be God of War II. It would be nice to see it in there over something like Forza 2 or a handheld game , but that is just the waythey do things.A few other games may get snubbed or a game could come out better than we expect.

Typical Lemmings, Bioshock is a Multiplat, you only have 2 GOTY nominees in the running please dont flatter yourselves .... put it as Multiplat.PC360Wii

Not really fair it doesn't count since it is Microsoft exclusive, not 360 exclusive.
