GTAIV=Worst 3D GTA
2D Sonic >>> 2D Mario
3D Fighters=Not Good
Legends of Wrestlemania=Awesome
I think RPG's are overrated
2D Mortal Kombat's=Awesome
Crash Team Racing >>> Mario Kart

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite gaming series
Final Fantasy XII is an amazing game
I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed
I thought Tidus is a terrific character in Final Fantasy X
Halo 3 is amazing, yet it wasn't as epic or deep as it should have been
Resistance 2 is better than Killzone 2 (almost finished with Killzone 2)
Shooters like Bioshock, Half-Life, even ones like Killzone 2 need to do something about their in-game storytelling. It works, but I find myself missing half of the conversation because I'm fighting off some creature when I'm being told some major plot points (I found myself missing a lot in Bioshock because of this). Halo somehow does it right.
Final Fantasy XII's graphics wowed me more than Gears of Wars'
The Dom/Maria scene in Gears 2 was very touching and epic did an amazing job there (more popular than unpopular I believe)
Final Fantasy IX is incredible and I am enjoying it more than FFVII
FFVII: Advent Children was really entertaining
Portal and Bioshock are overrated
Lost Odyssey is one of the best games of this gen thus far
Crash Team Racing is more fun than Mario Kart. MKDS is very close.
That's all I've got for now.
Hmmm. Well its not as if I state these anway except for the last few:
Metal Gear Solid 4 had huge design flaws that were ignored by critics and gamers. Its not a 10/10 game (saying that as an MGS fan).
Halo 3's singleplayer campaign was downright poor for the standard it should have been.
Oh yeah on that note the second Halo had a horrible singleplayer campaign.
Project Gotham 4 and MotorStorm Pacific Rift are quite underrated.
Mass Effect is more sty-le over substance than people make it out to be. Though I really like the game.
Empire Total War's multiplayer systems broken-ness is inexcusable for such a high profile game.
Most RTS game design in general has a fundamental flaw of accessibility, as far as multiplayer is concerned. There is a huge divide between 'play for fun' and 'hardcore / competitive'. Which leads to many people simply playing with friends or against bots, alienating themselves from multiplayer gameplay and community.
[QUOTE="jjenkins78x"]Oooooh I have a really, really unpopular opinion... I thought BioShock was completely overrated. I found it repetitive, clunky, too easy, and too linear. Technoweirdo
I can only come up with four users that liked it. >.> On the other end of the spectrum is just about everybody who has played Deus Ex or System Shock 2.
Hmmm...I enjoyed Bioshock despite playing Deus Ex and System Shock 2. I thought it stood on it's own rather well.Guitar Hero and Rock Band are nothing like playing guitarQuofanNo, these are supposed to be unpopular opinions. No one doesn't think that.
I agree, Far Cry 2 >>>> Killzone 2, COD4, CODWAW, etc. FC2 is possibly the best FPS this generation, the map editor gives it a lot of replay value.
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground >>>>>> Skate 1. Skate 1 was a list of problems, but Skate 2 fixed said problems. But Skate1 had a horrible camera angle you couldn't fix, that ruined the game. You could not get off your board and the city felt so bland, boring and lifeless.
Sonic Unleashed (PS360) should've won 2008 Game of the Year. It's the best 3D Sonic since Adventure 2 and the regular hedgehog levels are so damn fun.
RTS games suck, I want to play as the solider, not as the army. I wantbe down there fighting in the battle rather than being up in the sky watching it.
I think we have a winner! The critics are almost always right, and the general gaming population is a bunch of raving idiots.
789shadow
the whole Halo (don't know about the 3rd through) and Gears of War franchises doesn't deserve more than an 8
That's it I think, I'll see if I remember some unpopular opinions later :)
Grand Theft Auto 4 is the best in the series, and San Andreas was horrible.
Call of Duty > United Offensive > Call of Duty 2 > Call of Duty: World at War > Call of Duty 4 > Call of Duty 3.
Crysis has both amazing graphics, and great gameplay...
I don't have "unpopular opinions" so much as I have "unpopular facts." For example, Hermits don't like me reminding them how Starcraft and Half-Life 2 were ripped right off of Halo. And the Sheep don't like me reminding them how much OoT SUCKED. Or Super Mario Galaxy. Or Twilight Princess. Or ALttP. Or SM64. All suck suck suck.HALO3xpertWait a second, did you just say StarCraft is a rip-off of Halo? :|

Super Mario Galaxy>Super Mario 64
Final Fantasy IX>FFVII=FFVI>>>>>>>>>>>FFVIII (VIII IMO is overrated on GS)
Persona 3 and 4 are the best JRPG's on the PS2 that I have played
TP is an awesome Zelda game and makes OOT outdated
A Link To The Past is the greatest Zelda game (not really an unpopular opinion)
The Wii is awesome. The GC is underrated and was my favorite system from last gen
Halo:CE was the only Halo game I thought was amazing. The sequels were disappointing
Virtual Fighter and Soul Caliber>Tekken
The Saturn>Dreamcast
Super Mario Bros.>Sonic 3 and Knuckles>Super Mario World>Super Mario Bros. 3
I prefered Project Gotham over Gran Turismo
Wait a second, did you just say StarCraft is a rip-off of Halo? :| Obvious troll is obvious. Come on, it's obvious. Zerg are the Flood, Protoss are the Covenant, and Terran are the human space marines.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]

Wii has a lot of good (though not necessarily great), fun games for "hardcore" gamers.
There is nothing wrong with Nintendo plastering Mario all over sports games as a means to help them sell, esp. since most of them are great fun anyway.
Zidane (and FF IX) > Cloud (and FF VII).
Live is the best online console service, and Xbox will probably always lead the way in this regard... but they should give some gold member features to silver members (specifically, the features the Wii and PS3 offer freely) if nothing else.
The Wii didn't create the casual market: the PC did... and casual games can be fun (they're not all shovelware).

-DD is better than retail.
-Zelda OoT is not the best game ever, it's not even the best Zelda game. Same goes to FF VII.
-World of Goo is one of the most overrated indie games from last year.
-Silent characters don't have "depth", they are just dull.
-I don't find Survival-horror games great because they are thrilling but because of their style of gameplay.

[QUOTE="Emaldon117"]This post is so offensive to me. Far Cry 2 itself is an insult to gamers in every way, the fact that you can like it is downright blasphemous. :P I put the :P but I am also serious that Far Cry 2 is a disaster. My unpopular opinion is that I think Saints Row 2 is in many ways a much better game than GTAIV. :shock:Far Cry 2 >>>>>>>>>> KillZone 2
jjenkins78x
What ruins Killzone 2 the most for me are its clunky controls, boring weapons, and stupid characters. Granted Far Cry 2's weapons are ordinary, they feel much more effective. It controls work very well on a controller and you get attached to the characters and the heart-break that occurs throughout the story.
I bought both games within a week of each other, I paid $60 for KZ2 but only $15 for FC2.

I am not even joking, I wouldn't pay $15 to buy FC2 again. I just consider the whole game an assault on my sensibilities, and to call it "Far Cry" when it has nothing in common with one of the greatest shooters of the decade is blasphemy. :)Please Log In to post.
