Listen to me carefully: The vast majority of people that bought Halo 3 were able to play it right away, including myself.

I would rather put up with RROD once a year (if that) than miss out on Halo 3 and play virtually nothing on the PS3 or the Wii.

Hey *genius* last time I checked I have no issues with my system, and have had my system for a year now, so whats your point? Just because there is a good number or there was a good number of systems that failed doesn't mean every damn system is going to fail. Such an ignorant and naive thing to say honestly.

No my second 360 was bought for system linking for big halo multiplayer games. I do host Halo lan parties at my place and we all drink beer and have a good time. On topic Microsoft is fixing the issues. Did you not get the memo about the new chips going into the 360's later this fall. I guarantee you that some not all problems with 360s were self inflicted. There are some dumb people out there that do not know how to take care of electronic devices. My brother is one of them. The RROD problem has died down lately. Have you realised that. The system gets more reliable as the years go by. Hell the ps2 had alot of problems yet no one criticized it for that. So why should the 360 get criticized. You are just being a fanboy here trying to bash the 360 when the ps2 had alot of problems of its own and yes i went through 3 ps2's with the last one being the slimline version.

If your source for that lie is vgchartz.com (aka spyware central), even they had the 360 winning worldwide until July. July was the only month the PS3 outsold the 360 and that was only because Everybody's Golf (Hot Shots Golf released in Japan).
Now why do you figure the 360 constantly outsells the PS3 even with the hardware problems. Hardware problems are only brought up by frustrated, insecure Sony fanboys. Everyone else don't seem to care very much, now do they? ;)

No games for a while have been innovative in the FPS department. Counter-Strike and UT back in the day were innovative genre defining games. Halo 3 is just a little bit of everything backed by a corporation with a lust for money.

As a matter of fact, we did play co op SP. I'm not claiming to be an expert at Halo 3. No one is considering the game came out yesterday. But this game was hyped to be the second coming of christ and its just Halo 2 with weirder weapons and updated graphics (really stretching that last comment as far as graphics.)

no games for awhile have been innovative period, fps,rpgs,mmorpgs,racing games they all have been the same formula just tweaked to the best way it can, and that goes for halo3 just because it doesnt reinvent the light bulb doesnt mean its not a great game. What it does is it takes everything thats makes a great FPS and adds it into one package

Couldnt you do that with much cheaper regular Xboxs(before Halo 3 came out like 2 days ago)? Well first of all the PS2 DRE was not nearly as common as the 360's RROD. Second of all if the PS2 wasnt criticised(which I doubt) for it then maybe it should of been.so explain to me why two of my ps2s broke on me and im still on my first 360

1. Most people are not informed about the issues when they buy it. 2. The Price.The only 360 fans who dont care about RROD are the ones who havent had a problem yet. Unless all those countless RROD videos are really staged by PS3 fans...

Now why do you figure the 360 constantly outsells the PS3 even with the hardware problems. Hardware problems are only brought up by frustrated, insecure Sony fanboys. Everyone else don't seem to care very much, now do they? ;)

Maybe you should read it. You cows started with the bashing of the 360 for the RROD problems which have died down lately. I have 2 360s yes 2. One is 2 years old and the other is several months. Both work perfectly with no problems. Lair is abysmal. I've played it. Warhwak is meh and the servers are garbage. The only game i found worth playing is resistance.

No my second 360 was bought for system linking for big halo multiplayer games. I do host Halo lan parties at my place and we all drink beer and have a good time. On topic Microsoft is fixing the issues. Did you not get the memo about the new chips going into the 360's later this fall. I guarantee you that some not all problems with 360s were self inflicted. There are some dumb people out there that do not know how to take care of electronic devices. My brother is one of them. The RROD problem has died down lately. Have you realised that. The system gets more reliable as the years go by. Hell the ps2 had alot of problems yet no one criticized it for that. So why should the 360 get criticized. You are just being a fanboy here trying to bash the 360 when the ps2 had alot of problems of its own and yes i went through 3 ps2's with the last one being the slimline version.

I have Halo 3 which is an absolutely amazing game that is better than anything on the Wii or the PS3.
I had RROD once, and I received my 360 back in 1 week and got a bonus month of XBL.
It is totally worth it, 100%.
i hate it when denial lemming says " but my 360 is teh flawless" but at the same time 33% of them aren't. If so many 360 are working perfectly then why did the faulty equipment make headline news and why did m$ spend over 1 billion dollars in warranties alone and why is m$ keep on adding years upon years of warranties??!?!?!? Both times me PS2 broke, sony repaired mine(the second one was in 2004) for free... But it was still unacceptable to pay that much money only to have the thing crap out on you. Isn't that what you are doing when you claim you never experianced the problem? Lemmings are the only fanboys needy enough more worried about what the Cows think of there games than enjoying it themselves.
