Heck, the Number One Played Game on Xbox 360 for the first Year right before GeoW came out was LAST GEN's Halo 2, meaning Xbox 360 gamers were absolutely dying for new Next Gen content at that time.

Or maybe because a lot of xbox gamers liked playing Halo 2?
Think about buying a $400 brand new console in Xmas 2005, and for a full two years anticipating and hearing about GeoW, you used that new $400 machine to play a game that operated on a $130 machine you used to have.
Games like Perfect Dark 0 were supposed to grab us consumers that bought it at launch, but it wasn't the game that did it for us. GeoW was most def. though.
There were certainly many gamers happy with 2004's Halo 2, but in mid 2006, we were all hungry for a next gen killer app, at least most of us were.
I don't think many gamers that bought a 360 couldn't wait to get home to play their 2004 Halo 2, but it just was working out that way.
I'm not complaining, I just am explaining one of the many variables, is all. :) Trust me, with a 93,000 Gamerscore, I tried to play every game I could back then.
