I havnt heard of either InFAMOUS or Prototype ever before and then all of a sudden they both pop up into stores. Thats probably why im turned off by both of them

Well after playing both of them I can say Infamous is better than prototype by a little.

Exactly. I watch E3 every year, post here, etc and ive never heard of either when they were both in development. Then all of a sudden two games that are very similar pop up out of nowhere. I guess the fact that they both are alike makes it seem like two companies rushed these games out just to compete with eachother

me, yea infamous looks a lot better but imho in gameplay Prototype performs a lot better.

I enjoyed what I played of InFamous better then I did in Prototype (and I finished Prototype and not InFamous)

While Prototype's gameplay/action is a little better, it gets OLD, really really fast. Even with the consume missions, other missions, etcand the web thing. Its still not enough. By the end of the game I just wanted to finish the darn thing.

Also the tentacle upgrade in Prototype is CHEAP. Its way to powerful and over- shadows the other ablitlies besides the sword upgrade and makes jacking helicopters a piece of cake.

they aren't that much better really, and the average person would be hard pressed to tell...

Still trying to prove on over the other? Kinda sad if you ask me. Both are great. People have their preferences though. I prefer Prototype and have nearly beaten inFamous. But I enjoy both. I don't see why these comparisons have to be done constantly.

i've played both and think prototype is better, just an opinion and all but there you have it.

i'll take fun over gfx any day and on top of that i never really noticed one looking better than the other, just different, and when you add in the gfx downgrade all sandbox titles tend to have it makes no diff

Both have ridiculously terrible graphics, so pick your gameplay preference.

I really don't get people saying inFamous's graphics were great. The character models were TERRIBLE and the city wasn't anything special.As far as PS3 exclusives go, graphically it was subpar.

That shouldn't matter a good game a truely good game should be able to outsell any thing no matter its advantage in reality Prototype is an amazing multiplat it beats otu infamous as an exclusive game and because of that it sells more.

i mainly prefer inFAMOUS over Prototype for 2 reasons:

1. inFAMOUS has better graphics, and thats of course the most important thing in SW.

2. in Prototype, theres FAR too much going on at once. sometimes you dont even know what hits you/where it came form which gets very irritating, and the slightest things always get the military on your back, like falling from great distances.

They're both excellent games and deserve the credit in their own right. If anything those 3 games have redefined what I want from an open world game.
