SIGGRAPH always invite their winners in advance. They don't do the usual awards ceremony thing that you usually see. Only the winner were invited, the rest are those, who are either presenting their research papers, speakers on advanced technologies and such. It's always been a tech meeting kind of thing first and foremost than awards.

I played this game through twice and I can confirm for the most part this is how I saw the game. the LOD techniques that get implemented in a screen that's really pulled out from the terrain are impressive and make the game look great. When it's pulled in to close combat the games are very similar, but considering Ryse isn't even running at full 1080p I tilt my hat to it.
Crytek really pulled some juice out of the X1 considering they were working with early and pretty shit SDK's. Infamous failed to impress me truthfully and it was a little disappointing.

Ryse looks so good and much better that the PC market wants their hands on it. While Infamous SS gets passed up, overlooked and didn't win any awards regarding graphics.
Infamous Photo mode is literally the same as gameplay mode, shit it just pauses the game and you spin the camera around and what's wrong with that? Just because you can't see that camera angel during gameplay doesn't mean things aren't been rendered there, I swear people needs to understand more about realtime rendering this gen, it's not some crazy supersampled non realtime photo mode like in Forza or GT games. Oh and one of them in my op is in fact from gameplay mode, shows how seamlessly they are to photomode doesn't it!
Oh yeah I've played literally every major AAA nextgen games on either consoles repeatedly because I own all of them, except wii U. So don't question my credibility.
On a pure technical level Infamous is still doing much more such as gpu particles, open world, 11million polygons, 120k poly for Delsin vs 85k poly for Marius, indirect lighting and reflection and of course more destructible environment objects. Foliage do look pretty good in Ryse tho. But man the lighting in Infamous is just superior be it higher precision or more volumetric. See for yourself.
Too bad ISS has a crap story, boring characters and outside of some fancy particle effects, the rest of the game looks like cutting room floor material from GTA 5. The streets are lifeless and the buildings and cars all look like something from a 2007 game!
I have both, ryse looks better. Delsin looks like he walked out of Madame Tussauds.
ryse for me is also more enjoyable, i Don't like games with super powers

well according to my 'own eyes' and not using the Screens you cherry picked to make ryse look worse than it is, Ryse actually looks better than infamous it's just blatantly obvious that infamous SS is the better game in absolutely every other area,

The 2 games should not even be compare Ryse is enclosed crap which target high quality graphics over a small area,Infamous is a big ass open world game and still Infamous look better,the only think i dare say look better in Ryse is the main characters because even the enemies are not that great.
Even so Infamous is 1080p 30+ FPS,Ryse is 900p with drops into the teens.
Ryse on PS4 would be 1080p and probably have better IQ to,there is nothing the xbox one do that the PS4 can't do faster.
Is your opinion of Ryse from your playing it at length? Do you have an X1? I have a hard time taking your opinion of the graphics of the game seriously for obvious reasons.
Infamous doesn't look that great imo (Neither does Ryse). All I can see is just strong lighting and that's it really..Even AC4 and WD's lighting were better imo and they felt more releastic and a treat to the eye..:)

That's the thing dude, most of the Ryse hate is from people who probably haven't played it or even have an X1. I said in my first post in this thread I haven't gotten any meaningful time with Infamous SS. So I cant give a first hand opinion. I wont lie or make a judgment because I read some reviews on the game. But when it comes to Ryse, some will.

Well I'm a manticore. Is Ryse and Exclusive, yes or no? Besides being a 4/10 Ryse Son of Knack game that is. Infamous is 2X better game overall according to GS. Now it's not exclusive? Guess I have to sell my copy of Ryse now :(
