Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare Pushes Xbox 360 To Its Upper Limits

Didn't see the words PS3 in their anywhere, how does the PS3 measure up? Guess we are meant to assume better?rolo107

if u assume that then u must assume when crytek said they are pushing the PS3 to the limits and didn't mention the 360 that the 360 is running Crysis 2 better

Modern Warefare pushing the 360 to its limits isn't something to announce. If it was the PS3, then you got a story on your hands.

Graphics are looking about the same for every game now except for MAG which looks like a old PC game. And of course the Wii is a another boring gimmick from Nintendo which will have a game here and there to make you want to pull it out of the closet.

When devs say they mean THE ENGINE THEY'RE USING, is being tapped out.

A better engine, with better coding and what not will produce games of a higher standard (Graphically)

Also ... Every Dev and there dog make this claim. Every new release is pushing the console to it's limits. Despite there being better looking, more graphically complex games out there.

Dude, you don't know what the hell your talking about. Crysis looks good and is leaps and bounds ahead of any console game, but if you wanna compare the best consoles have against Crysis, the best choices are Gears 2, and even more so, Killzone 2.

This is the same crap as was said in another thread about how Crysis 2 was pushing the PS3 to the limit.

Anything said by these devs you can take with a grain of salt. Its all hype and PR.

As a matter of fact, the only devs that are going to shoot straight about the technology involved and the limitations of the hardware are Id and John Carmack. A good rule of thumb when seeing this stuff is if Carmack didn't say it, don't pay it any attention.

Alright, I'm just going to put this out there: Game developers say this all the time in order to generate hype. Saying stuff like this gives the illusion to the press and potential buyers that their game is top-notch, and none will surpass it. I mean, would you, as a game developer--while you're trying to get your game gold on the market--want to say, "Oh yeah I'm sure this won't be our last shot, and we'll improve upon it later"?. NO! You want to give the illusion that this might be your last game in the market, ever.

So hype big, and make some faulty claims! Your game will sell like gold then!

Can everyone stop talking about Forza running at 60FPS? I mean, something gets mentioned at a press conference and suddenly it's the hottest buzz word; typing MS tactic (they love it with Windows too). 60 FPS is the gold standard of console gaming; most games run at 60 FPS on console.
