Actually they didn't. It was very clear what we were going to get, and they made it clear. If you didn't see it, that was your fault.

No they didnt over hype it, us gamers did because COD 4 was such a great game. And when we heard that #2 was coming out, HOLY CRAP me and my friends thought that it was going to be in the top 5 games of all time.

more perks, killstreaks, guns? off balances the game.

I wont get over dedicated servers since 50% of the games i have played on mw2 have such an amount of lag i find myself shooting at someone in plain sight for a few seconds then suddenly die and in the kill cam i find out that i had been shooting at a wall for awhile since they had moved an shot me.

Think back, infinity ward didn't really hype crap. People were hyped because it was going to be a sequel to an awesome game that had a wide community. They got sequel syndrome and instead of making a good sequel they got apprehensive and tried to TOP what they did. When what they should have done is innovated and made a good sequel and not a "Rehash"

Infinity Ward didn't hype anything. You can thank Activision and the players for the massive amount of hype surrounding MW2.

MW2 is a great game I've yet to regret purchasing it.

So I don't see what the problem is...and they didn't overhype it it sold over 10 million on last check.
