Sony has introduced more new IPs for handhelds than Nintendo this gen. Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway and more coming up. What have we seen from 3ds? Only the same characters we've been seeing the past 10, 20 years.
While that may be true (I have not given it any timely reflection) one thing matters. That would be the number of sales. Same characters or not, twenty years old or younger, they sell millions upon millions.
@Solaryellow: the 3ds came out a full year before the Vita did, it also had the added benefit of a very early $85 price drop. I remember when people were bashing the 3ds at launch for lack of titles and high price tag. The vita just had a price drop and is also getting a push from the ps4. Nintendo has always benefitted from the kid demographic, its no wonder the DS did so well with such classics as icarley lol. Heck, I spent one holiday season working black Friday at Toys R Us, the number of moms buying DS for their kids was astounding. It still holds true for 3ds. The recently released 2ds is also a product of this. Kids cant really play with the 3d. Also, anyone notice how heavy the 3ds xl is? The 2ds is more ergonomically sound for that reason.
burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn but seriously, the Vita owns 3ds when it comes to multiplats (Rayman is another example). Exclusives are not bad either.
Nothing on a Vita is remotely close to the Monster Hunter 4 craze that has basically taken all of Japan by storm.... even the release of the new PSVita Slim is going virtually unnoticed in it's shadow.
this is why i prefer the Vita over the 3ds. an actual selection of fighting games to choose from when im on the go. now if only SSF4 and KOF13 came to the vita i would be set for life.
Its only a matter of time. That Injustice Ultimate is gonna be nice though. Coolyfett will get that on the PS3.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay noooooooooooooooo.......not gonna get it on the Vita.....Ace Attorney and Pokemon are enough to make me forget I even have a Vita. Not sure if that's a good thing though :P
