This Insider claimes that the 720 will be much more powerful then the Ps4. What makes this stand apart from all the other rumors and guesstimates is that this particular Report was given in DEC 2011!!!!!!! He give the accurate names of the two next Gen consoles (Durango and Orbis) 4 of his facts have already proven to be correct. His article talks about the 720 being online 24/7, He calls the "Durango" by name!! (MS did not give out the Durango code name till Feb this year!! http://www.gamespot.com/news/next-xbox-code-named-durango-report-6350526 ) He calls the "Oribis" by name!! (Not mentioned till a month ago in the industry!! http://kotaku.com/5896996/the-next-playstation-is-called-orbis-sources-say-here-are-the-details ) He mentions that the Next Box will have a Blue Ray player...He even mentions that the PS4 will have a Quad Core, JUST LIKE THE RECENTLY REALESD IGN ARTICLE. All of this in Dec 2011!!!!

Again, this guy realesed this info in DEC 15 2011, 3 months before any info was realesed to the public. Whats really interesting is that if 4 of his facts are already correct, how much more of this info is correct?? This is extemely interesting to say the least.

The bias is strong with that rumor.

Hold on a minute though. The always online might be true no? Windows 8 is having a huge emphasis on you signing in to your Windows LIVE ID every time you boot into the OS. At least Microsoft will give you barebones if you aren't online on the next console. idk,,,

Im not saying it is 100%. But come on, the guy mentions the Next Gen consoles, BY NAME, in Dec 2011. He even talks about the 720 having a blueray player, the ps4 having a quad core. Click the link and read it for yourself. If its not true...fine but this stuff cannot be a "Guess". Can it????

To me the bigger point is the code names Durango and Orbis....there is just no way someone can make that up3 months before the info was released to the general public and not have some type of insider info

Nah. No console will have always-online, that's just dumb.

Also the rumor states that the next Xbox's CPU is based off of an i7, goodbye backwards compatibility if that is true. The current 360 uses a PowerPC core from IBM. Going from IBM to Intel is stupid.

The Kotaku rumor also states that the PS4 will be using an X64 AMD processor, not a 32 bit processor like the rumor. It makes sense that Sony would abandon the Cell and lose BC because the Cell is a dead end, but it makes no sense for Microsoft to adpot a very expensive PC CPU core design. Also, he say's the next Xbox's CPU is based off of the i7 processor, which doesn't make sense since the i7 is just a version of either Sandbridge, Ivy Bridge, or Bloomfield.

The rumor is full of bias and illogical crap.

Also, a 500 gig HDD, blu-ray, 8 core CPU (lol stupid), and a GPU all for $400? Yeah, I don't think so. Microsoft isn't keen on taking massive losses on each console sold and will not launch a console at more than $400.

The PS4 with no standard HDD? In the days where DD reigns? Wat. Dumb. Dumb rumor is really dumb.

Any idiot could write up something, slap it on a website, and change the date posted to make it look like it's older than it really is. Don't believe it.

Believe nothing of what your read and only half of what you see with your own eyes.

The person did not put a date on his post, the website put the date that the person was a guest and posted his blog. This type of thing is easy to change or fake?

So why was this guy going on about how easy it is to change the date of a public forum then? Im a little confused. But the fact remains that if the date is accurate then some of this info was mentioned by this guy 3 months ago. Allot of the info seems to be accurate with current reports and info about the systems.

It was a Pastebin link.

Pastebin.

As in...anyone could have just written that up in five minutes.

Why would you even think for a second that a random Pastebin note has credibility at all?

Did you read what he posted? Is it to be automatically discounted because its Pastebin??? As the person above me stated If you do a google search for the url, it's indexed on the same date. He was calling these next Gen systems, by name, 3 months ago. Whether it was on Patebin or Face book why does it matter?

So why was this guy going on about how easy it is to change the date of a public forum then? Im a little confused. But the fact remains that if the date is accurate then some of this info was mentioned by this guy 3 months ago. Allot of the info seems to be accurate with current reports and info about the systems.

kbanna

It was a Pastebin link.

Pastebin.

As in...anyone could have just written that up in five minutes.

-

Why would you even think for a second that a random Pastebin note has credibility at all?

Did you read what he posted? Is it to be automatically discounted because its Pastebin??? As the person above me stated If you do a google search for the url, it's indexed on the same date. He was calling these next Gen systems, by name, 3 months ago. Whether it was on Patebin or Face book why does it matter?

I'll just leave this here.

This one is legitimate because it says in the thread title "accurate" and "insider".

-Unreal-

Not what I was saying, read the info in the link, check the date generated by the site that he posted the info, compare what he said to what we have been hearing by recently.

66 Million XBOX 360's sold... 40 Million XBL accounts and that doesn't even include the fact that most 360 consoles have more than one account so that 40million is roughly 30million in terms of consoles being online. 40-50% may even be 60% of consoles just aren't connected to the internet as we speak. That alone makes the rumours completely false.

Did he change the date?

look at the message you left. Look at the area at the top where it says "By a guest on Apr 10th, 2012 " His read "By a guest on Dec 15th, 2011" and he talked about information that was not released to the public till Feb 2012. That is the point, not just to believe any guy who posts on postbin, but to READ what was posted and compare it to recent facts.

Rumors can be false all they want. That was not the point. The point was that he posted this in Dec 2011 and 3 mos later we get : Microsoft confirming the name Durango, Sony confirming the name Orbis, Articles bringing up the 24/7 connectivity, IGN articles claiming Sony is going with a Quad Core, Articles claimng Microsoft will have a Blueray drive...all of these things were talked about in this guys blogg...3 months ago. Who knows what the final specs will be, but at least 4 to 5 things he mentioned were brought up recently in 2012 articles.

Apparently some Guy from Crytech leaked the info and got fired. Don't know if this is the same Guy.
