INSOMNIA: The Ark, sci fi post apocalyptic RPG for PC

@insomniatheark: Oh cool the devs are on Gamespot! I hope your games does well, I'm definitely putting it on my Steam wishlist. Any news on a specific release date or month/quarter this game will release in? Have you tried to get Gamespot, PC Gamer and another sites to do an article on you guys, I'm sure that will help give this game some more exposure.

Have you guys thought about Steam controller support? It seems perfect for this game.

@NoodleFighter: this strongly depends on how well the beta tests will go. Currently we think that summer sounds like a possible release timeframe, however this depends on many factors so don't take that as a 100%.

We tried to reach some PC Gamer guys who covered the game previously but they haven't replied yet. Not sure about Gamespot yet but we have our game listed on the website already which feels good haha. We will try to get as much coverage as we can however it can be tough at times especially when you don't have proper connections.

As I told Pedro a few posts earlier we might add controller support in the future if this would be something our players would really want us to do.

@insomniatheark: Well if you guys do plan on going through with porting this game to consoles it wouldn't hurt to test out how it would work on a controller with the PC version first.

Have you guys tried talking to Rockpapershotgun, PCgamesn, WCCFTECH and DSOGaming? Rockpapershotgun would likely be more than glad to do an article on your game. If you haven't already try to give out some demos/free copies to popular youtubers and streamers. That is how most PC games get popular these days.

@NoodleFighter: thanks for all the tips! Honestly it's a bit too early to talk about the consoles and everything that comes with that.

I believe we had some coverage on RPS before, will try to get in touch with them again. Haven't heard about the other ones though, hopefully we will get some attention from them as well. Adding them to the list, cheers!

Wasn't a fan of that trailer music. Hate stuff like that, but really like what I heard from that music preview you posted. The actual footage though looks really neat so I'm keeping an eye on this game.

@ChubbyGuy40: the track used in the trailer is a generic music that wasn't created specifically for the game. It clicks quite good with the action visuals though.

PS. we had a real blast with PC Gamer article recently (including their Facebook).

Looks really interesting, if you can manage to release in a bug free state( more or less) it could be a blast!

@phbz: we'd love to release the game on all popular platforms including toasters :D. However we need to start with something and that is Steam version for PC. When we get somewhat decent income from this - PS4 is our next target.

I have the game on my wishlist and really want to lay it.

@navyguy21: we are currently completing the post-release roadmap and processing the feedback. Once that is done we might have more specific details regarding this. Currently you can play with controller, however mapping is required. So as a temporary measure we will publish a guide on Steam on how to make this work.

Awesome, hopefully there is a way to navigate the inventory without native support.

Using the joystick as a mouse pointer is extremely tedious lol.

@navyguy21: can't say for sure since I never tried playing the game like this one with a controller, however our QA guy says it's quite playable this way.
