Insomniac Games "hints" at a Resistance 3 annonucement soon!

According to their Twitter and Facebook pages, Insomniac Games is "hinting" about a Resistance 3 announcement.

Congrats to @IrrationalGames on revealing BioShock: Infinite. Trailer looks great. We can barely "resist" joining the announcement fun! #fb

Hopefully they announce it soon. I want to see what it looks like.

Well we knew it would get announced eventually. I know a lot of people bash Resistance but I loved both games. Really looking forward to R3.

Well I'm pretty convinced its R3 now, especially after they did the exact same thing in a blog posta few weeks ago(to lazy to find) about the reveal. They used "resist" and everything

No he asked a question that he already knew the answer to just to knock the franchise.

I do agree though, R:FoM > R2. R2 tried to be a mash up of Call of Duty and Halo without doing either very well. I'm not surprised that Insomniac has taken extra dev time to work on it

It was still pretty well received by critics and although the campaign was decent at best and the MP was nothing more than "meh", the co op mode is some of the most fun I've had this gen. Having that alone in the 3rd installment would be enough to warrant a purchase for me.

I'm not going to look up the sales data for the game, but I'd assume it sold around a million copies, which is more than enough to warrant a sequel. I don't know if you played Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, but that has a sequel coming out this month and the first one was TERRIBLE and probably didn't sell well either

Still doesn't change the fact that sales are taken into consideration when deciding whether or not to make a sequel.

resistance 1=inferior to resistance 2.

Old old ancient gameplay *who actually has an fps where you can carry about 50 tons of weapons on your person anymore* no cover system at all, very little unique forms of 2nd fire in your weapons.
crap story with uninspired acting and a main character that never speaks.
Insanely bad graphics for a ps3 game, resistance 1 actually has 2d texture bushes and tree's in it...I've actually been inside em, 2 bush textures set in a cross with a script to atuomatically turn as you look at them...ALA Mario 64.
Online=grenade matches, I never played a single match where people weren't just throwing grenades around.

resistance 2 was vastly better it was up there with what I expect ps3 graphics should be, it had a far more evolved and better story your character actually TALKS! the acting isn't bad from the other characters in the story, gameplay it is much better without the weapon wheel, and online it was vastly better specially the 8 player coop.

If resistance 3 goes back to the crappy resistance 1 format I wont be buying resistance 3.

I expect it to be announced at GamesCom, although I'm not particularly interested in it.
