Apparently the title is Red Dead Retribution

All it needs is a story that has nothing to do with Marston and family and start from scratch with an entirely new cast in an entirely new place in an entirely different time period (1880's would be the absolute best).
@mark1974: It shouldn't be too far off. Rockstar San Diego has been working on it for a really long time. We should definitely be playing it by this time next year, hopefully it's on PC too.

I'd be surprised they forgo that PC money this time.

Same here, when you take into account the significant surge of PC market since 2009 - 2010, the time when RDR released, it's just impossible to turn a blind eye to PC. And also, Rockstar putting a lotta effort into the making of GTA V on PC shows that they're completely aware of the huge market offered by PC.

Agreed. Looking at the cash cow GTA5 has been, they will release the new RDR on PC. Now, whether they can make the online profitable like GTA5 is doubtful. Old west just doesnt seem like it will translate as well.
@aigis: "Red Dead Redemption 2 is the dumbest name they could have picked."
RDR2 doesn't sound bad.
But it wouldn't follow convention unless it actually was about a "second redemption."
The first game was "Revolver" and didn't really go with any sort of related "theme" but the second one was one big story about "Redemption".
Retribution implies punishment of evil actions or repayment of some sort of debt. So many possible story archs they could take with that.
If it's not coming out till later next year, I don't see the point of announcing it now tbh... just announce it at E3 next year or around then.
I'm so curious if they plan on remaking Red Dead Redemption? One of the few titles I would actually enjoy a remaster for and buy...lol
Hopefully this game doesn't have a horrible MC this time around. Marries a hooker who banged all your outlaw friends? Then has a worthless kid who should have gotten eaten by a bear.
