Intalls.
But IF I was an Xbot fan, I would wish for a 10 game.

We got a 10 from IGN, and Gamespot, I think that represents a great game!

Switch disc of course... it's not like you finish a game everytime you turn on your console... LOL
Second, it doesn't load your hard drive making a tiny 20 gb 360 hard drive more efficient than a bigger ps3 harddrive... LOLOLOLL
Thats not being fanboyish like previously heard, just MORE practicle... Who's a fanboy now? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Nope, you got a game that was scored 10 by IGN and Gamespot.
Installs>multi.
But considering the systems they both have whats better for them considering the 360's HDD.

Installs improve the load times and the quality in which the game runs. Multi disks is just a way to compensate for a smaller format and in no way improves games.
Why do people keep comparing them?
installs because it only needs to be done once if you get a big enough harddrivehiryu3
but by the time your done one install I could have switched 10 dics if not more

Hmmm, I thought it was to composate for the ps3 's poor blue ray drive uncapable to load fast enough... Thanks Sony!

Ah, I thought it was the royal we. I prefer installs as long as they actually make the game run better. Otherwise its just wasted space.

GTA4 had an install and its no better than the 360 one
I need a link to faster load and qaulity in which the games run
Based on MGS4's installs, switching discs would have probably taken a couple minutes less than the installs took... but you would have had to get up from your seat and switch DVDs, meaning you would have used up more energy.Funkyhamster
Yeah because getting up and walking to your console is a major workout. :P
Personally it doesn't matter that much. But if I had to pick one, it would have to be multi-discs.
I agree but for some people it takes 10 minutes to switch a discs because they don't put the game back in its proper case and they have to look through 20 cases just to find one game.it takes 5sec to switch a disc, installs take alot longer
disc switch for me

Another false myth, the Blu ray drive is as fast as the 360s drive because the 360 uses DVD9s which severly hurts its drive speed. There are many games like COD4 that dont have mandatory installs and load just as fast as the 360 version. PCs have used installs for years with CDs and DVDs which have fast read times but its because the games run better off the HDD. Dont fool yourself into thinking that if the 360 had a standard HDD it wouldnt have installs as well.
So yea you thought wrong.
Depends on how frequently you would have to switch disks.
The installing in MGS4 annoys the hell out of me. 8 minute install before you actually get to play the game and additional 3 minute install between every act and still the game has (sometimes ridiculously) frequent 10-20sec load times. Just ruins the cinematic experience the MGS games are all about. I'd rather change disks 2-3 times throughout the game.

Consoles don't have installs because if you wanna deal with installing you might as well PC game. And what's the point of a 50GB disc if it means you have to install games.

No consoles didnt have installs because they didnt have standard HDDs, thats the only reason. As for the 50GB HDD it gets filled up with HD graphics and sound. Its size doesnt help the fact that installs improve framerate and pop up problems because no matter what disk installs are faster to read from.

Nice snagging a table from 2005. He's talking for dvd9. The dual layer dvd's on average are slower than the the ps3's cv BD drive. DVD9 is only faster on the outer edges of the disc. I forget the numbers and don't feel like making them up.

Pop-In & Loading
With a huge, seamless streaming world, data must be constantly read from the disc. The PS3 version, with its required HDD install, loads missions a couple seconds faster and decreases pop-in. The Xbox 360 version can suffer from some very noticeable texture loading, as things like trees, vehicles and building signs will regularly pop-in as one tools about town. It can be distracting, especially during high speed chases, and the PS3 version isn't entirely immune from it, but it's not a game killing problem.
