"Why would I just play COD on my VITA when I can play it at home on my XBOX/PS3"
This argument seems absurd to me with regards to multiplats on handhelds.
Wouldn't this just apply to every game then, exclusives included?
Wouldn't you rather they just made Golden Abyss for PS3 instead? etc?
Then why did you buy the VITA?
-----
Exclusives make less sense from the devs point of view (same problem as PSP).
Why make a game with roughly the same costs as a console game on a device with a small install base? (it only makes sense during the beginning, where competition with other devs is much less)
-----
It makes more sense for devs to simply port their games to VITA (much lower dev costs), get cloud-saving going, and bundle them together with the ps3 version for 10$ more. (more in line with current mobile gaming prices).
This way, people don't run into the problem of having to pay 50-60$ twice for the same game.
(also note that handheld ports usually sell much less than 1/6 of their console counterpart anyway, so the 1/6 price point should still be more profitable)
