How exactly as an iPhone an inferior product when compared to a DS or a PSP? In general or when it comes to gaming? In general the two don't compare very well, but when we compare the two in terms of gaming, I think it's obvious. Can you seriously believe that the iPhone/iPod Touch is as good for gaming as a PSP/DS?

The difference is the experience and I cannot honestly compare the DS/PSP with the iPhone/iPod Touch. What the iPhone/Touch doesn't have is a juggernaut title known as Pokemon.

Except perhaps the GBA SP. I'm much more partial to the GBA/GBC library than the DS library. I wish I had bought a GBA SP instead of a DSL. The ds can play all of than.....well not the new models anyway.

It's not. In one day the Iphone beat the PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP and the PC with the most AAAE's this gen. 1 little day to take 3 years worth of work. Doesn't seem inferior to me.
I love my Touch, but I hate the direction a lot of developers are going with it - I don't want games that are replicas of those I can find on my consoles, and it's worse than the PSP and DS's attempt at making console-style games because at least they have buttons. iPhone games with touch-screen buttons are affronts of nature and should be burned on sight. if they're going to require more traditional inputs at least do it in a clever way that makes use of the screen, like Hook Champ.

He didn't brag, nor call the iDevices superior. He simply brought up a game that shows that the iDevices are capable of full gaming experiences, like the other handhelds. He said competitive, and he's right.

Let's not forget they were probably reviewed with a different standard than actual gaming devices. If fact they do point out in reviews that things were overlooked and the fact that they're Ipod/Iphone apps were put into consideration.

Yeah I kind of agree. It seems surprising considering iPods are synonymous with music this decade. At the same time, as a PS3 owner, I've been trained to deal with a lack of music customization for years now :oops:
