It's been a great year.
There's also been some really terrible things that have happened this year.
Sony in particular has been not only lacking, but taking games off the market, and dicking over consumers by making them sign up for PSN when they don't need to, and removing games from international markets (as they did with Helldivers 2, which tanked the community. That tends to happen when you remove a game from 100+ countries.
We might be seeing the beginning of the end of Ubisoft; as much as everyone loves to hate Ubisoft, they've been a major provider of great games for many years and we would be worse without them.
I've also noticed some sad trends among games. Namely the whole " if you're not a hardcore Elden Ring Soulsborne gamer, then you're not a gamer" type. Also I've seen a lot of apathy and some sad statistics of "x % of platers have spent 5 or less hours with this game" and it's a huge %.
But as far as games go, it's been a great year. Indies of course dominated across the board while AAA continues to flounder.

...For all this talk about lack of games, doesn't seem to be the case.
Yeah people that say this are ignorant to all the great games around them.
