the game doesnt seem very interesting to me the story sounds good from the sounds of it (but i doubt it will be cuz good storys that stand up till the end are just rare in videogames) but the gameplay just turns me off, seems like the kind of game that will drag on due to hurt gameplay. i dont get why all the hype about this game.

That's where you and I agree, my man! I can enjoy just about anything for $10 or less. A good example of a $10 game is TimeShift. It's generic and the story really doesn't exist, but it's a bit of fun and performs well.

Halo Wars was definitely better. Haze was a game about frat boys in bumblebee outfits who liked to get high off "nectar" and go "BOOSH!".
It's worth $10, though.

I highly enjoyed timeshift it's my little gem shooter for the gen. Absolutely loved it and bought it at $40 dollars. But my big 10 dollar good purchases are condemned, crackdown, the force unleashed. All great games for the price

How exactly has it been butchered? The game is what it was always going to be. For the same reason Max Payne was worse on consoles then on PC. No mods, tweaks, visuals won't be as great. Everything Remedy hyped this game about, which was mainly it's graphics and physics engine... will go down the toilet because it's limited by a console.
1. Begone troll. The console version was developed along side the PC version, this isn't some port were essence is lost in transition. They had two seperate teams working on both versions as this was intended to be a dual-launch title for PC and 360. The PC version was put on hold, not cancelled. 2. Having MODS has nothing to do with a games quality, that is why they aren't considered during reviewing. It makes no sense to tack on work to a game that wasn't done by the developers. In that case, publications should go back and include all those custom maps made by the Halo 3 community when reviewing because some were better than the stock ones. 3. Any self respecting gamer will know that graphics don't make a game. Mass majority of PC games look like ARSE and a good number of the ones that don't look like vomit are on consoles as well and still look damn good relatively. What happen to that hermit mantra? That "Most PC gamers are playing thousands of back catalog games" If graphics were not of such high priority then, why make a point to bash the console when they are considered. Double standards, hypocrisy, elitistism FTL. 4. I find it funny how you're crying about graphics and you're sporting a graphics card in your sig that can barely play Far Cry, a 2004 game, on high settings... Seriously a 9400GT? DDR2, 16 SHADERS? I was only hyping Alan Wake in the first place because originally it was announced as a pc exclusive." well.. i am sure hyped for this game..I love maxpayne 1 and 2. but i cant play it anymore because it is x360 exclusive now. and YES I AM ANGRY at microsoft for ditching us PC gamers. before you call me a PC fanboy i have ps3 and PC gaming. x360 is just not for me

Who knows, to this point they've only shown a demo that's not even part of the real game, just meant to illustrate its gameplay. I'm skeptical, personally, since it seems like they're struggling to get this game out (it was announced way back in like 06 or something like that).
I personally believe it will deliver an AAA experience. The only other score lower than AAA I can see happening might be 8.5, because it could provide a plenty of brilliant and unique ideas and not fulfill them to the fullest. Anyway, it's easily my most anticipated game as of now, and candidate to GOTY 2010, I anticipate it more eagerly than any of the 2009 titles.

Didnt you know this? Id be really surprised if anything blows my socks off like Batman AA has this year.
Up until last E3 Alan Wake was the only game that made me wish i had a 360. Now it doesn't do anything to me. I was really disappointed with what i saw at the event. The game could end up being really good and AAA material though. Lets wait and see.
