Is Anyone Else Pissed with Call of Duty 5? (poll)

I thought the single player for COD4 was awesome. That whole game was incredible. I remember when I heard that COD was going modern. I was so excited and I remember pretty much everyone else was as well. But why do we have to go back to WWII? Leaving WWII was a good thing considering how stale the WWII shooter genre is. Why couldn't we stay in the modern time period? Or even a little into the future (no laser guns... keep it realistic :P)?I haven't seen any threads talking about this at all, but if this is something that's been discussed you'll have to forgive me because I haven't talked about this at all. I'm still giving it a shot, only because it's COD though, even though I shouldn't because Infinity Ward isn't making it. All I can say is if they're going back to WWII this game better blow my mind and do something incredibly new. What's your opinion on COD5 currently?

CoD 3 > CoD 2 IMO.JLF1

I thought so too - so did gamespot.

I really don't get the COD3 hate? Are people refering to the online or what?

The campaign was great. It wasn't massive better than COD2 - but was a slight improvement. The war zones looked and felt a little more war torn than in cod2 to me. The graphics were to this day some of the best I have seen.

You guys are complaining about it being in WWII but you guys are forgetting or don't know that World at War takes place in the Pacific of WWII their wasn't that many WWII games that took place in the Pacific most of the games take place when you invade Normandy and then go to Germany, then their are others but still alot that go to Northern Africa and Italy. But I can only think of about 3 WWII games that take place in the Pacific.

Yes! I'm very disappointed! I was worried it was just me. WWII shooters have been done so much, I liked fighting in a modern setting!

No I'm not mad at COD5 because its going to be a modern combat game. COD: World At War isn't the 5th game in the series, but a separate game. Activision has talked about this. World At War is being made so Infinity Ward could renew their contract with Activision. Now that its been renewed, Inf. Ward is making COD5 as well as a new IP
