No, its not. Comments by people in SW is exactly why more and more developers are ignoring hardcore gamers because they only want to same thing over and over again and refuse to accept something different.
Nintendo_Man
Show me a demonstration of gameplay depth to the whole thing, because right now all I see is an even shallower Brain Age.
Jokes aside, since when did hardcore gamers hate innovation? It's one of the key drivers of the industry and has resulted in many important game staples. Any gamer can see that.
TheLordHimself
I don't hate innovation, I think that the Wii could do some great things if they would pursue real innovation, I do not consider these lines of casual minigames to be innovation in a real sense but rather cheap cashins.
Basically these games are innovations like the memory card for N64 was an innovation, I consider them poor ones that are detrimental.
I most definitely am not looking forward to this "game" at all. And as soon as Nintendo decided to spend most of E3 talking about this trash I knew for sure it was time to wash my hands of them. It's a shame, at one time they were my favorite company but they give gamers the middle finger at E3, so I'm returning the favor. I'd love to see this be a flop both with critics and at retail, but unfortunately I know even if the majority of reviews are crap this garbage will outsell Mass Effect, Ratchet and Clank, Bioshock and Blue Dragon combined. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if it outsells Halo 3 and GTA IV.
Thank you Nintendo for ruining the games industry.

so me and u both confirmed nintendos only out to make money this gen correct?
nintendo and the rest of the world's businesses
I might get a wiifit but only because regular exercise bores the hell out of me. I love playing tennis in real life but it's not always possible to find a good partner to play with. that and i've always wanted to learn yoga. it's certianly cheaper than yoga lessons and it's not just watching a video. I believe that the balance board measures how well you're balancing while doing the positions so that if will increase or decrease the speed and difficultly depending on how you're doing. at least that's my hope for what it'll do.
No.
Metroid Prime 3 is the only thing I want right now.
I was hoping for more info. on SSBB or more announcements (teasing us with Mario Kart isn't good enough), but instead. Wii Fit is the only major announcement I really saw.
At least they gave release dates for Brawl and Galaxy.

yea and thas why sony's gaming devision lost around 1.7 billion  because they care more about bringing a great experience to the consumer selling a ps3 that costed 900 to make but sell it for$600, thats a huge deal yes expensive but if they wanted to profit itd be more like $1000 so people need to stop complaining about the price. not everyone in gaming is out to make tons of money its a 50/50 thing, provide great things for gamers and make money at the same time....nintendo is like 90% money 10% for consumers

You're sadly mistaken if you come up to the thought that Sony is 50% money and 50% consumer. They couldn't care less if you liked your PS3 or not. They're here for money, not for your personal enjoyment. The only reason you see Sony selling the PS3 for a loss is because if they go into the red, the other Sony divisions can keep it alive until it's profitable again.
Nintendo does not have other divisions. So it has to rely 100% on its Gaming division. If they go into the red, it's bye-bye Nintendo.
You pay, to do actctivities you can, already do in your own home.
I can do freaking push ups right not I dont need a white board.
I can go look up yoga stuff on the internet, and do that if I could be bothered, and do it now.
If I want to play headbut the soccer ball I could go outside and headbut a real soccerball.
I mean I initially thought of it as ingenious.... But after thinking about it, its kinda... Stupid.
And I wonder who is going to be reviewing it? Jeff?

true i didnt think about that, but i still feel nintendo is being the money grubbers this time around and thats saying alot considering sony's past, its just the vibe i get from them with projects like wii fit that wont give anyone much of a real workout its such a gimmick its not even funny
Theres two things here, the surface and whats underneath the surface. On top it looks like nintendo wants to appeal to a huge group of people and improve their lives on the wii by giving them excercise. In reality underneath they know that any of these activities arent gonna give you much excercise at all and not change anyones lifestyle. But they will cash in huge on this crap and make tons of money so who cares if they arent getting a real workout. blues3531
How do u manage to pass off ur oppinions as fact, please explain the point to me in nintendo making a fitness game entitled wii fit if it isnt going to do anything for ur fitness, dont u think they would have done a crap load of research, cause im pretty sure it would be a massively stupid move if nintendo made it so that it did crap all and then just stopped selling after people discovered that it doesnt do anything for ur fitness. We know next to nothing about the amount of content that is present in this game and u are already stating that it is a faliure. What do u expect people on system wars to say everyone here is a hardcore gamer, u dont go on a forum for games and argue about them if ur not. Im not excited for this game because it doesnt really interest me. But the fact of the matter is nintendo's e3 might have been a faliure in the eyes of hardcore gamers, the public believes they had the best show, and u want to know why....wiifit thats why. U better get used to hearing it because this thing is going to sell like crazy, if u knew anything about excercise u would know that the hardest thing is motivation, thats why its much easier to play a sport as opposed to going to the gym its fun. I can tell u right know many people have this problem and this could possibley be one solution, and to those that said u can get a gym membership for $300 im guessing it isnt the greatest gym in the world, the one i go to is $1000+ AU a year. Oh and i very much doubt that u are over the age of 13 as ur post in the topic before about currencies was completely ludicris, I mean what kind of stupid person would use a currency convertor those things are never right.(sarcasm)
It MIGHT be useful for workouts although I seriously doubt it, but can we REALLY call this a game by today's standard?Kekira
Yes, because there is still a competitive aspect, which is improving your weight/body mass/whatever else the game keeps track of. And there are mini-games.

"right now", not as a whole but the wii is full of mini games right now, thats a fact jack, and I alreadyplayed re4 years ago
I'm totally hyped for this game. I love how Nintendo is giving me an outlet to try something new and different. I own a Wii, DS, 360 and PC and my most anticpated titles are mainly Nintendo's. Its just so refreshing to see crazy stuff thrown out there. They get a lot of flak on system wars but they are really doing a great job with their Wii and DS.hiho24
I read your entire post waiting for the part where you say, "just kidding."Boy was I disappointed.

It's a fact? :| Yes, clearly 9/312 games out there/in development are a 100%.

GUT FEELING OF THE DAY...
If Wii Fit comes with the Wii Board... (Last time I checked, it does.)
It will sell 1.5x as much as Wii Play. (I have no idea what are the sales data for Wii play so around 2-3 Million Wii Boards will be sold)
Reason: Everyone bought Wii Play for the extra contoller... Now everyone will buy Wii Fit for the Wii Board which was hyped in the mainstream media and also at E3.
GUT FEELING OF THE DAY...
[QUOTE="Smoke_ManMuscle"][QUOTE="blues3531"]gym + iPod = fit. Trust me.
Koalakommander
That will be $200 for the Ipod, another $80-90/monthly for the gym membership [so they run around here].
I'm comparing a $90 add-on to my Wii vs. $1000 for an ipod and gym membership?
No, I don't expect the same level of fitness, but for 9% of the price of a gym, perhaps 9% of gym-fit?
[I think folks fail to realize the many folks who cannot go to the gym all the time - such as my case as a stay-at-home dad. While I can leave the kid w/ my wife to exercise once or twice a week, Wii Fit seems to be better than nothing on the days I'd rather use my out-of-house time for fun, fishing, having a beer with a friend, seeing music, etc etc etc etc]
But some folks just don't get it, don't want to get it, or can't see past themselves.
Yeah i am, it is going to be awesome and sell alot. Cows and lemmings just have to stop being fanboys and realise that this is going to be great and not just bash it because it is on the Wii. I can see a ton of people being owned in SW.Nintendo_ManA 7.0 sure owned them.
