There's little doubt that the Xbox 360 is the cleaner, crisper experience and for the most part it commands a small
but significant frame-rate advantage and fewer little glitches; especially outside of combat scenarios,
the game just seems to run that much more smoothly

I played the PS3 version and I didn't think it looked that good, but that was after I finished the PC version so maybe I was spoiled. One large issue was that the low resolution coupled with the annoying mandatory blur the game has made the visuals look washed out and hazy. I mean, what's the point of having good looking textures and effects if the resolution is too low to appreciate them? There were also FPS inconsistencies, which was kind of hard to adjust to after playing it at a constant 60FPS.

It´s not the most consistent but it´s best moments look better than anything on consoles.

I don't think it's THE best, but I def think it's up there with the best.

It is the best looking game on Xbox 360 and PS3. Both system version are the best looking title on there respective platforms.

It can be sub hd as 800x600 and it can be extremely close to 720p which makes it almost identical from your chouch though so just labeling something sub hd is not the way to go.It still does not change the fact that beside KZ3 and Crysis 2 todays games on consoles hardly have any AF,rather some trilinear filtrating like UC2 which in this case looses to Crysis 2in that department yet no body complained about it.

UC2, imo, still looks better. But its close. Also, are we still on this topic? I think noone really cares about grahpics for Crysis anymore.... well, Crysis 2...

not sure why you posted the 360 pics like that was the better version, both the ps3 and 360 versions are equal, it's just that both versions do some things better than the other ;)

EDIT: oh and I'll make my final decision after I play it, but i can already tell the lighting is some of the best on consoles.

I run it at 1900x1080, harcore which maxes everything and i still run the game at fps because its only DX9. Crysis 1 quite honestly looks heaps better. Im no hermit, i love my PS3 and all, but this is getting ridiculous. Talk about selling out.

Metro 2033 looks AMAZING maxed out on the PC with DX11. Not sure how it looks and runs on consoles, but when Metro 2033 supports DX11, and Crysis 2 doesnt, something is wrong.

Makes me a sad panda that Crysis 1, a game released 4 years ago is STILL the best looking game released. Metro comes close, but the scale is just too small.

GIGANTIC potential, wasted.

Achievments/Trophies serves in the same way as the experience system in CoD. Its a way for people to feel as though they are progressing, and getting somewhere with the game. In CoD they serve as a way for players to feel as though they are getting better the faster they rank up, while in reality, its pretty minimal.

I play alot of videogames, but i know aswell, that in the end, its a waste of time, and the time i spend playing videogames could be used better doing other more productive stuff. Im not getting suckered in by achievments though.

Seriously? While C2 looks great texture and lighting wise in some parts, it has SEVERE frame dips, screen tear, horrible AI, and not much going on at the screen at once, compared to games like KZ3... I was really wowed after the opening sequence in C2 and thought this game had serious potential, but came out dissapointed... besides, whats up with not being able to shoot the half zombie half human guys?

People are overreakting just for the sake of it really.I mean,all those games are close so I won't judge what some people like best but the biggest problem is when people say "It has screen tearing and horrible frame rate drops".This is just not true,yes,there are frame rate problems in first few missions,after Road Rage(the worst case) it becomes VERY smooth experience and there is ABSOLUTELY no screen tearing in PS3 version and there is like ~1%of it in 360 version which happens just in cutscenes and plus it is soft v synced on top of the screen so I haven't seen a SINGLE screen tear through play time with Crysis 2 and I finished it two times.

Easily the best looking game on consoles and considering the sandbox environments, Global illumination lighting and Physics in Crysis 2 it is also the most Technically advanced game on consoles. This is coming from a PS3 and 360 owner.

Because 360 looks crisper, is higher resolution, does not look blurry, has 29ps average than 26fps, overall performs better most of the time as DF confirmed, has better occlusion and shadowing and generally looks and performs better, IGN and many others confirm it too

The difference is not vast of course, but it is there
