Is Dark Souls the best third-person game ever?

I don't know what you were playing but it obviously was not Dark Souls.

Dark Souls is an ARPG & it's not anywhere near the best of it's genre

Even though the game is amazing, it is far from being the best, at least for me. If it had a good story, my oppinion would be different.

No ! Its an overly hard game thats annoying for no reason ... N i lost a bet cuz i knew nothing about the game thinking it can't be that hard ... while i got far in the game its impossible without a guide ... theres no path that says go here go there ... its just imo not worth the effort

It is awesome, but no it's not.

If you said RPG, perhaps; but third-person game, yeesh, that's a pretty long list of games that are possibly better. I mean, Vanquish is a third person shooter and is said to be the best third person shooter this gen. Not to mention, if I am correct, the camera in Nier and the combat is in third person and System Wars loves its Nier so I don't know...:oops:

In all seriousness though this is a stupid question.

Both Dark Souls and Demon's Souls were definately a breath of fresh air when alot of games this gen are shallow "press X to win" schlock that holds the player's hand and treats them like an infant.

Only if you like slow, gloomy, and ugly games.

Agreed, I liked Demons Souls much, much more than Dark...

Nope but it is one of best TPG ever. My pick is Uncharted 2.

Not by a long shot. Even though Dark Souls in a fantastic game. I've been playing it a lot lately.

I bought the game yesterday and I haven't found it that difficult. It just throws a lot of cheap sh!t at you, that makes playing it a chore.

Not to mention the story is complete garbage.
