Hello,

So After i played and complete Doom reboot twice. Its Excellent game, GOTY so far by far. best FPS in years however i go back to Doom 3 and look into it. i research, compare and realise that Doom 3 is imo still better game. Doom 3 was a game that i think was rival to Half life 2.

new Doom is reimagination of old Doom games however Doom 3 was true evolution of franchise. it was dark, has horror elements (that are much better than shitty resident evil series), suspense, and best part imo the flashlight. in a terms of experience Doom 3 is easily the best.

what do you think?

I think Dead Space was a better game than Doom 3 and also had better atmosphere.

@ghosts4ever: To be honest, Doom 3 was actually the first time I ever play a Doom game back on Xbox, I didn't even had a PC at that time during Doom 3's launch for Xbox. I for one actually like it, the only downside is the flashlight switch-a-rule but I can live with that due to the jump scares it gave me. Therefore, I really enjoy Doom 3 and now, the new Doom is even better then any shooter campaign since F.E.A.R, Halo CE or Crysis for that matter.

Not a really a fan of linear games. A truly good experience should give you heavenly feeling and doesn't repeat itself.

Sorry can't agree with that, not when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. exists

Eh, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a totally different beast.

We get it, you like doom. but realistically they are some of the most antequated shooters on the market, even the new one.

I got bored pretty quick with the new Doom. I didn't think it was all that great myself and felt kinda repetitive after a while. Reminded me of playing Quake 3 arena in SP but with larger detailed maps and demons.

Doom 3 BFG isn't bad. However the level design is pretty bland. I can only stand to see pipes running along so many steel walls before my mind zombifies.

Did you play The Ultimate Doom or Doom II: Hell on Earth ever?

Yes, along with Quake, Turok..etc. Those were many of the main fps's. Did I spend hours upon hours playing them? lol hell no, they weren't that great, I did prefer Quake over doom and Turok over both those.
