is this a joke? like seriously i fully expect BF3 to outsell Gears 3 in individual SKU, talkless of over multiple SKU. BF3 will have a 100 million dollar campaign behind it. BF3 will smoke Gears in terms of sales throughout the holiday. Mark my words. BF3 360 will out sell Gears of War 3 this year.

I'd say Halo 2's hype was bigger than 3's or Reach's. I remember everyone was going absolutely nuts during all the E3 trailers, IGN making their front page consisting of nothing but Halo images, and then there was that whole Mountain Dew or 7-11 thing too.
Why is Forza 4 so overlooked around here? Or did racers stop counting as exclusives and games too? :?

Well if you can't hate on something here people tend to forget it. Try as they might it's kind of hard to hate on Forza. The franchise is as solid as they come and DAMN, Forza 4 looks amazing.
Sorry I'm not gonna lie I forgot about Forza 4. And yes Forza is an amazing series it should not be forgotten.

Not even close. The only reason it's getting as much hype is because it's X360's only exclusive this year. Games like MW3, BF3, Skyrim, and arguably Arkham City, and Uncharted 3 are getting more hype and coverage.

When gt5 flopped sim racers stopped counting. Didn't you get the memo?Please tell me when Forza has EVER mattered? It may have superior reviews, but Forza 4, or any other Forza have never been very anticipated outside of the "die-hard" racing fan, which isn't many. The only reason why GT5 was anticipated so much was because of the lengthy dev time, and the fact that it's basically the ps3 "it" game as far as sales is concerned, and sales + ps3 really haven't been mixing this gen too much. Also, everyone was waiting to see if GT5 was going to put up big sales numbers since the ps3 wasn't the selling juggernaut this time around.

Well thats called hype. If you buy into the hype of anything it can look like the biggest thing ever. With that said, i am hyped to play Gears of War 3 but i am more hyped to play Dark Souls and UC3.
And Gears isn't even the most anticipated game this year. That honor goes to MW3 and BF3. I will be getting neither, but the anticipation/hype for both of those are through the roof.
But Diablo 3 isn't the most anticipated game ever either ;) Sure it is! :evil: :P Sure, keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep better at night :P

Look outside of SW, outside of GS and you'll find out that the only game that most people who don't frequent video game sites care about is Modern Warfare 3. Unfortunately.
not by me, i will be getting it, but personally Batman, Skyrim and perhaps LOTR are more important. I am not sure which to get, though i love TES i am concerned that it will be plagued with bugs and then will have a load of DLC released, i might wait a while for skyrim, dunno.sts106mat

Do you think Lord of the Rings will be on par with Skyrim? honestly i dont think so, i love LOTR and prefer the world to that of TES (kajjiit LOL). they are very different games, so unfair to compare. Well...if you had to pick just one then. ;)
