Bought it for 360, played till I had to threaten some dry cleaner, which led to a car chase; then I sold it.

Never buying another GTA game.

Red Dead Redemption
GTA III,Vice City,San Andreas
Metal Gear Solid 1-4
Uncharted 1-3

Those are some more perfect games.

Never played GTA4 so Coolyfett has no take on the issue.

The only thing perfect about GTA IV is that it's the perfect example of how a mediocre game can score perfect reviews as long as there is a ton of hype and reviewers are paid off. It's funny how every reviewer gave it a 10 but everyone I know, even COD gamers, didn't even finish it because it was so boring.

GTA 4 was terrible. My brother owned it and we both couldn't finish the game of how boring it was and we both own the three GTA games on the PS2 which were way better then 4 will ever be. He sold the game anways.

C'mon man, don't speak bullsh*t. Just because people hate on a game they only do it to act cool? There has never been, and there never will be a game that'll get universal praise, because humans aren't perfect and neither do they share a exact mentality.

Red dead on the other hand is what I would describe as a perfect open world game. Shooting mechanics are great, great variety in missions, great atmosphere,one of the best main protagonist in gaming(john marston), many mysteries and surprises in the wild west. GTA IV is a joke, and I fell for the hype and perfect review scores

The only option I was able to find for disabling the phone was to disable the story/mission phone calls, so you could stop them trying to force you into a mission, and just let you free roam. With story calls disabled, though, I still got calls from Roman wanting to go bowling, and he'd get all pissy when I said no.

As for the driving, I agree. By far, the best driving in any open world third person game I've ever played. Especially with modded real life cars. Some of them, at least. There's a bunch of amateur modded cars, with really wonky handling designs. But the better ones are soooo good.
