Lol, is this some kind of bad joke?
ActicEdge
SW itself is one big bad joke.
Repeated over, and over, and over, and over again.Â
It was very repeatitve and boring really
Maybe for people that have never played a RPG with a detailed world and variety it seems good
For me is just another average action game in the billion, its world is bland and boring

Bought it for 360, played till I had to threaten some dry cleaner, which led to a car chase; then I sold it.

Never buying another GTA game.
Playing the Uncharted Trilogy right now and man is that first game beautiful, Coolyfett feels like he is in a Vietnam Sim or something. Coolyfett has been gaming on the PSP for a minute, but Coolyfett just got the PS3 and wowzers games on this box look amazing. RDR is on Coolyfetts list, Tell Coolyfett about GTA IV? Is it as fun as Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories? Those two games were fun on PSP.Red Dead Redemption
GTA III,Vice City,San Andreas
Metal Gear Solid 1-4
Uncharted 1-3Those are some more perfect games.

The only thing perfect about GTA IV is that it's the perfect example of how a mediocre game can score perfect reviews as long as there is a ton of hype and reviewers are paid off. It's funny how every reviewer gave it a 10 but everyone I know, even COD gamers, didn't even finish it because it was so boring.
[QUOTE="TheEroica"]Great gobs of gopher shit no.... When you strip away the city, you are left with a game I would describe as, bland, boring and with atrocious controls... Stringerboy
I still have yet to understand how GTA4 scored a 10.
Â
Ill give you three guesses....
lol no. there really isnt a perfect game. There are games that are the perfect standard for their genre but one can never pick out a perfect game.Red Dead Redemption

Ill give you three guesses....1. It deserved it
2. It deserved it
3. It deserved it
Also I have to laugh at that parent post "If you strip away the city..." What the f*ck? Yeah, let's just strip away the level design from Super Mario Galaxy 2, the shooting from Max Payne 3, and the combat from Dark Souls--when you do that, those games will totally suck ass!
Makes sense!

Except that the city is near dead (in terms of activities, things to do) there was like 4 times more content in san andreas, and the variety in the areas was greatly appreciated...every part of the city in GTA IV felt the same.[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"]

There has never been, and there never will be a game that'll get universal praise, because humans aren't perfect and neither do they share a exact mentality.

Were you expecting something else from a game named after the criminal act of stealing a vehicle?

nope not at all. Mediocre game, boring characters, boring story, the f*cking phone calls during fights, mediocre driving mechanics and repetitiveRed dead on the other hand is what I would describe as a perfect open world game. Shooting mechanics are great, great variety in missions, great atmosphere, one of the best main protagonist in gaming(john marston), many mysteries and surprises in the wild west. GTA IV is a joke, and I fell for the hype and perfect review scores

nope not at all. Mediocre game, boring characters, boring story, the f*cking phone calls during fights, mediocre driving mechanics and repetitive Funny how people always complain about phone calls at inconvenient times. I've never, in all my playtrhoughs of GTA IV, been called up during a firefight. Also, GTA IV had the best driving of any game for his type, if you knew how to control it. Which wasn't that hard to begin with. What a bad post.[QUOTE="trollhunter2"]nope not at all. The only option I was able to find for disabling the phone was to disable the story/mission phone calls, so you could stop them trying to force you into a mission, and just let you free roam. With story calls disabled, though, I still got calls from Roman wanting to go bowling, and he'd get all pissy when I said no.
As for the driving, I agree. By far, the best driving in any open world third person game I've ever played. Especially with modded real life cars. Some of them, at least. There's a bunch of amateur modded cars, with really wonky handling designs. But the better ones are soooo good.
You can also disable the feature, some people just aren't even trying.faizan_faizanUhm...Not exactly. If you "turn off" the phone, you shut the whole game down. No missions, nothing.
