And Halo Wars isn't an expansion of the franchise... (not the same campaign but the franchise as a whole)

I also like playing with the Snake, Kratos, etc. Sackboys in LBP. It is what it is. The bottom line, is that Halo is a successful franchise. I hope they'll be a Legos Halo too.

I don't see a problem with it as well, and hope for more, but when a new Mario is announced it's called a rehash and a cash in... and when Halo is announced the collective response is "tell me more!"... I just like to point out the hypocrisy.

And yes, they used the halo name for sales, they said it was for the fans which = lets milk the fans for all their worth.

I would rather either, a good new proper Halo game, or a totally new shooter with no trace of halo in it.

Is making a new campaign really that big a problem for you?

I fail to see how it's "milkage". By the time it comes out Halo 3 would have been out for two years. It's not like a Halo game comes out every three month like Mario or Guitar Hero.

Hate to break it to you, but expansions have been a part of gaming for over a decade. Fans want them, just because Halo is doing it now doesnt mean it's not officialy the worst thing to do ever.

You fail to see how it's milkage because your the one being milked... this could have easly just been a totally new franchise... and are you going to buy Halo Wars too, going to see the movie?

No but when Nintendo does it... It's milking... and is this an Expansion... it seems like a spin-off to me... You dont have to have Halo 3 to play it....

It's a standalone expansion. Like Guild Wars.

You don't really need Halo 3 to play Recon, but it's there mainly to complement the experience.

Besides, the game will be using asset from Halo 3. And it'll be using Halo 3's multiplayer.

why what's wrong with that? & why is it milkage? you don't need it.. don't buy it..

milkage = things u need.. but don't come by default.. e.g. memory cards for ps2 / gamecube. hdmi cable for ps3.. headsets for wii & ps3.., etc...

I think its because the Mario franchise is like 20 years old while the Halo franchise isn't even in its teens. Besides Mario is a character that can be put in any genre. While Halo is a fictional universe just like the Star Wars universe. So its easy to get excited about a different genre thats within the Halo universe than Mario being in a new racing game or whatever.
