Its like, people don't seem to care about Halo so much anymore. Is it still relevant?Kevlar101Halo 4 sold faster and more than all Halos in the same time frame meaning that 4 somehow got people who have not played Halo since 3 to somehow by Xboxes for Halo 4.
Basically what I came in here to say.Since Halo 4 is trash, and 343 is a sorry imitation, no.

Irrelevant games don't make $220M day one and $300M in the first week.
The only thing that has become irrelevant is the MM, it's so boring.
how much Halo 4 sold?
Gue1
It's the best selling game in the franchise according to Microsoft. It's unknown if they mean for a quarter or LTD. If LTD it's past 11M. If it's for a quarter, then it's past 8.6M.

11 million in 3 months is insane and I will bet money that didn't happen. I'll also bet 8.6 million in three months didn't happen, either. I think they meant "fastest-selling."[QUOTE="Thefatness16"][QUOTE="Gue1"]

Assuming they game did as well in December(5 weeks) as it did in November(3 weeks) in NPD, then it isn't that hard to believe the rest of the world made up the last 2M. Games with a #, plus the main character usually sell better then spin offs, prequels also.

8.6 is pretty farfetched. That's almost Reach's lifetime sales and close to Halo 3's. It would have topped the NPD every month since release and I don't think that happened.Halo 3 was hugely relevant. Halo 4 still packed a punch but it didn't have that hype behind it like the others. Looking foward to Bungie's next franchise more
Halo is still fun as hell. I actually think 343i did a great job with Halo 4. It's not perfect, but pretty impressive for a dev's first work!
PAL360
Yeah. The campaign was at least pretty damn good

With the exception of Halo CE and Halo 3, Halo 4 had my favourite Halo campaign. Take off those annoying QTEs and add some scarab battles, and it will be amazing. I also found the mp to be surprisingly addicting.

Just Dance came in second for Decmber with 5 million, so it isn't crazy that the third place game did around 3M+, especially with 2 more weeks to sell and on a 33% discount on Amazon.

Yeah but that would've been listed on the NPD. So... I'm skeptical.I really hope it didn't sell all that well, tbh. It's pretty bad.
Alot more than it should have due to easuky scratchable DVD discs. These are not Blu-Ray Sales we are talking about here after all.how much Halo 4 sold?

The second half of what you said contradicts the first half. You say not really relevant but yet makes millions and has a huge @ss community and fans.I'd say not really but, who cares? It's still making millions and still has a huge @$$ community and fans.
Goyoshi12
Fastest selling one was Halo 4 so ya I would say very relevant.CanYouDigltAnd PS3 is the 'fastest selling' system, whats your point? This only matters with Halo oh ok.

I figured relevant in terms of it's history and place in it as well as meaning and palce in the industry. Kind of like how Doom and Quake were relevant to the FPS genre and how relevant Quake and Unreal both were for multiplayer gaming in general.

As of now the standings are PS3 1st, WiiU second, and 360 standing as a dead console atm.
I think so, the only one I didn't enjoy was ODST. Loved Halo 3.
I'm surprised at how well CoD performs. Surely by now they're just re-releasing the same bloody game all over again and again and again.

People like that same game over again and again and again.
EDIT: Oh, and MW =/= Black Ops.

Honestly, I think it did. Which is why I don't have any hope for this franchise, since 343 will continue down the CoD bandwagon.
