Yes easly, with Orange Box
PAL360
Orange Box is more like a compilation pack of shooters, a "best hits", if you will. Not saying that's bad, but I have to say, if it wasn't for Portal and TF2, it wouldn't have been as good.

It wasn't, TF2 sucked on consoles, quite buggy. No multiplayer bots = failed AI that wasn't good enough to simulate real players. Especially considering how simplified Halo's gameplay is.

Bots don't simulate real players at all. I have played most of the games with bots, and at higher difficulties, they are more cheap than challenging. I kinda agree that we need bots in Halo, but we will have to see. We don't know everything about Reach yet. Bungie may have included bots in the game, we just don't know.

Still an incredibly complete compilation for a price of 1 game.
But i agree with this topic. Reach will be massive :D
did anyone see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-yV3VslrZQ i posted it in the past page , i think it's new here

Yeah, I saw it, but Bungie have been on record to say that they have added extra bits of duplicate code, so to fool anyone who's been looking in the Hex editor.

I have played most of the games with bots, and at higher difficulties, they are more cheap than challenging. This is exactly why the FPS genre is not advancing as it should. Almost every RTS game ever made has bots, and they play exactly like a real player would. In their review Gamespot themselves specifically mentioned Section 8's multiplayer bots as one of the game's best points. Counter Strike: Source also has some good quality multiplayer AI but it isn't outstanding. Star Wars Battlefront II had bots which were good at the time, and in fact they still are way above average seeing as almost every FPS game has no multiplayer bots.

Most feature packed shooter ever I guess, let alone on consoles. Im still missing the godamn epic "Campaign Styled Multiplayer" where 1 team defends on large/new maps" ect... but it seems developers deem this too complex these days.Birdy09
Yeah, I mean, the only game that has that is Resistance 2, but that kinda sucks on all other fronts...
Reach is said to have the Generator Defense multiplayer mode inFirefight, where a team of 4+ have to defend 3generatorsagainst waves of covenant
Oops i think i confused Most featured with best shooter... because i thought KZ3 would be it...
And yes Halo reach will be te most feature-packed shooter this gen on consoles...
Most feature packed shooter ever I guess, let alone on consoles.Birdy09Shame that a lot of the features add nothing to the overall experience.

Sure, some RTS games might need a little improvement to their AI, but at least they actually bother to include AI unlike the incredibly lazy FPS developers we now have. Even Crysis has no multiplayer bots, although this is forgivable considering that the Power Struggle mode is one of the most advanced FPS game modes ever made. Anyway, I think you will find that in most RTS games the AI plays no differently to a real player. Command & Conquer 3 and Age of Mythology are two examples of this.

Different strokes for Different folks, I guess. I think that every feature in Reach will be used equally, without any redundant ones. Also, try to list down the ones which you feel add nothing to the experience, and say why?
I voted yes but i think.... um the orange box? its got like five games right? but I'm not sure the orange box is as reach on consoles.I'm quite suprised.....
13 yes to 8 no?
to those 8 people. What shooter on consoles has more features than Halo:Reach?
siddhu33
Now if only bungie will add an elite compaign and an elite firefight. I am still wondering how long is the game.

And I thought I can be biased on occasion. 1) Yes they do, most shooters should have theatre mode, full stats trackings (to an intersting degree) match tracking let alone the rest, but even PC ones dont. something that is shameful. 2) Last time I checked shooting stuff and walking at players is what shooters are about. yet you seemed to make a bias about that? I dont see any AI doing any of the proper roaming tactics, building location or proper compact tactics that players use. Anyway, your completely wrong.

Like I posted before, Orange Box is 5 inherently different games, put inside one box. As a package? Metric **** of features. But each game counts separately, and if you look at that, then Halo:Reach wins.

The really sad thing about this image is that Gamespot just gave Killzone 3 shooter of the show at E3 for apparently being new and refreshing. :?^^Going to think of something crazy here, but hang with me for a second Maybe, just maybe what gamespot played at E3 was more refreshing than the shooters that were at E3. I mean surely playing the game will give you a more reasonable understadning of the game than looking at a picture from some dudes blog? Just crazy theory I had
for the record. I also found it wierd because to me Killzone 3 looks like Killzone 2. That said I'm not going to argue against someone who has played the game when I haven't
jg4xchampThe only playable demo was the exact demonstration they played out for Sony's conference. While it will indeed be more enjoyable to play than to watch, it demonstrated nothing to me which i would consider new or refreshing. Further, Gamespot's explanation cites exactly what they consider so new and fresh -
'there always needs to be something new and exciting to keep players interested, but Killzone 3 seems to be going the extra mile with the inclusion of new flying vehicles, such as the minigun-armed Intruder hovercraft and the Helghasts' mounted jetpack'
I just highly disagree. The jetpack they demo'd was cool. The flying vehicle section with the mini-gun was cool, but how many games have done that? I can think of three which have already done it this year alone.
If they thought Killzone 3 was the best shooter at the show that's their call, i wasn't there. Nothing about it which has been shown to the press however elicits new and refreshing to me, and i thought it was just-plain silly to cite an on-rails mini gun section as an example of supposedly new and exciting gameplay.
