No, it's just as mediocre as the other 2. Mechanically all 3 games are good, but the mission designs in these games are abysmal. The enemies aren't fun to fight by the halfway point as they just become spongy with no real layers to the combat, the gameplay runs out of ideas by then, the bosses are awful, the story revolves around a protagonist that isn't well written or well acted in a plot line that revolves around this binary morality system which runs through a string of contrived sequences one after another.
I have nothing against the overall controls, they're fantastic and very responsive. It's the things you do in the game that bore me to sleep, and the huge but empty world with almost non existent interactions
Sequel is better, looks miles better (a given perhaps). Much smoother and more entertaining to navigate the city, better powers and more balanced enemies. First is pretty much fighting trashmen for 50% of the game, which I thought got old.
