It came out thesame day on the Wii U as it did PS3 and 360... That being said, the Wii U version is the worst of the three and won't be getting any future DLC or support it would seem.

It's a shame really since Injustice is such a fantastic game. Netherealms continue to improve and smooth out their fighting systems. This is their best yet.

Doesn't it say on the back of the cover that it will support DLC?

I heard the Wii U was lacking features and not getting any of the DLC fighters and stages. Wii U = Shit.

But who would he play it with online? If someone has a PS3 or 360 and gets the Wii U version they need their head examined.

No shit these animals just love the scent of Nintendo's freshly squeezed scrotum juice in the morning.

Well, that was a gross image.

just buy it on the eshop.
the actual game doesnt even have a manual...so theres nothing collectable about the physical copy.

I think the TC is trolling, however, I wouldn't recommend ever buying a DD game (available also at retail) on eshop because if you don't like the DD game you can't sell the DD game. I would consider buying a DD game over retail if the DD game is significantly cheaper than the retail alternative, but you must realize that you (hypothetical user) are freely giving up your ability to sell the DD game, trade the game, gift the game later to a relative, or even lend out the game to a friend. Too many users buy games, and later sell them when they don't turn out the way they thought they would. Paying high prices for a digital game you can buy at retail isn't worth it.

The aspect of collecting that is crucial is the actual game being able to be played in any wii U, stand alone in a collection, and being able to be sold at a later date if need be.

Digital copies don't have the same value as retail copies do, but you do get convenience of not having to put in a disc provided you don't have more than one Wii U. I do have two and I won't be able to access eshop content on both my Wii Us. It's also an issue for the future to consider. We see tales of users buying used Wii Us and Wii's and getting a bunch of DD games.

Another issue many new Wii U owners may have is the purchase of an external HDD to attach to the Wii U, which does knock the already expensive Wii U price up.

Until Nintendo rectifies how they handle the Nintendo Network ID issues on the Wii U, I wouldn't recommend to any user supporting the eshop for retail games. It tells Nintendo that what they are doing is fine, and give them incentive not to be more competitive and fix the problem.

For the record, I don't recommend buying any retail games you find on XBL or PSN either...UNLESS there is a massive savings (50% off or more), even though those machines are more tolerant with multi console owners. Being stuck with a game you can't even gift away is a bummer.

One final issue about Injustice on Wii U, is that it does lack modes/features found in the other versions. Multiconsole owners should do research before biting that bullet.

if you buy digital the the dvd/blu-ray drive wont waste....15 years later if your system still works the dvd drive might be worn out but your digital copy will still play.

That's true.  However, other things also wear out in 15 years in that hypothetical.
Let us consider a few while I'm here.

In 15 years, you may have 5 Wii U's like I do N64s...and you won't be able to play those digital copies in all five of your Wii Us, just the main one you downloaded on and have your one allowed Nintendo Network ID. If you had a hard retail copy of that game though, you could play it in all five of your Wii Us.

In 15 years, your external HDD may have gone bad like the DVD/Blu laser in your example, and if the Wii U network isn't up, you won't be able to reDL your games either. So, there goes the game, with just the simple malfunction of the external HDD (which like all electronics, have a limited life).

In 15 years, the Wii U itself could just go bad at some point. *Knock on wood* It's very possible we will own Wii U minis or Wii U slims instead.

I'm sure the Wii U network won't be running in 15 years as by then we'll be playing the N65 or Super Duper NES or whatever.

Like the Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, Dreamcast, and Wii these systems networks go eventually go down and whatever you have on the system is all you will have. You lose the storage, you lose the games. This is the fate of the 360, PS3, and Wii U at some point as well. New machines replace the old. New networks replace the old. Retail copies prevent such travesties. Even with the death of your beloved original old school Wii U, your games will still function when you replace the unit.

You are right, you are saving wear and tear on a particular component of the Wii U, so that's a plus on the pro column for buying full priced digital content, I won't deny that.

Overall though, I believe there are other variables worth consideration. Just some food for thought.
