Is it me or does Condemned and The Darkness blow away BIOSHOCK?

I don't know where all the hype for Bioshock has come from. To me the character models and animation are terrible, and plays pretty much like the old Unreal Tournament. Look at the recent 7 minute gameplay video, it looks like the same old same old thing.

bioshock is nothing like UT.

if anything, it shares a lot more in common with other FPS/RPG hybrids like dues ex, system shock, and STALKER.

I'm quite sure you either watched an entirely wrong clip or you have no idea about either of those games. Bioshock (despite being somewhat of an FPS) looks and will most obviously play entirely different from UT.

Have you ever played System Shock (2)? That should give you more of an idea what the game will play like.

And no, those other two games don't blow it away. Bioshock looks very impressive on many levels. I'll most likely buy it for my PC.

Blashphemous talk against UT? Arcade super speed does not make it "old" its very refined. 

I really hate the way guns look and fire in Bioshock.

They look all awkward and stiff.

BioShock is an FPS RPG, it's not a run and gun, twitch-based shooter. You'll have to think how to take out the enemy. The game uses a modified Unreal Engine 3, and the atmosphere is both amazing and creepy. In fact, it's gonna be more creepier than condemned.

I love the old fashioned look of Bioshock.

Im gonna spend a lot of time exploring the whole colony, I wonder how big it will be?

Correct me if I'm wrong (because I haven't played Condemned), but I don't think Condemned: Criminal Origins had little girls who stuck needles into people and drank what came out.

 It's just you, Condmened was purely melee and very little gun action, Bioshock is different. Besides who dares to judge a game before it is completed. themyth01

LOL no. Condemned was kinda creepy though, but yeah, Bioshock will be more disturbing.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to Condemned 2 more then BioShock and Darkness.

the reason why biosshock is hyped is because it's like system shock 3 man, and system shock 2 is one of the all time great first person shooters just behind the likes of half life and deus ex.

Oh yeah, the kids of this generation won't have played system shock 2, you're missing out on a lot you know, go play it, it's cool :P

The character models looks like something John Carmack would approve in Quake 4, except with crappy looking clothes.
