I dont think so. I dont consider any system great till a great 2d fighting game is released for it. But thats only because fighting games are my favorite genre of games.RedLobsterpwns

Yeah, if you really think so. 

Technically the ps3 has about 15 great games , but in reality only one game so far (Resistance) grabs some attention. It is going to take some time before the ps3 gets to where it needs to be.

I personally think it has the most appealing future lineup. I know many on SW disagree but it doesn't bother me because I know the series are huge and will sell incredibly to consumers worldwide.

GTAIV, MGSIV, FFXIII, GT5, RE5, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, and GOW3 all on one console is pretty awesome for me.

Not now...no, not now but soon.

Now you have a graphically inferior Halo wannabe, an arcade racer with no freaking splitscreen, a mech game that would be crap on the PS2, a samurai game that might as well have been thrown in the garbage during testing when they discovered the camera was a constant drunk uncle that loved to screw you over and a bunch of games out on every other system that are actually, for the most, inferior to their counterparts.

Later, well, you get Lair, Heavenly Sword, Eye of Judgment, Ratchet and Clank, MGS4, Killzone 2....

Still, I'm sick of waiting with the PS3. Is it official that PS3 has great games. Nope, and until those other ones are released, there's no actual way of knowing. It's all based on potential, and while PS3 has lots of that, it's not selling the system at all.

edit: and you pointing out that its subjective is totally redundent, seeing the topic is a question -- a question is meant to elicit a 'subjective' response. unless its a pop-quiz or a factual question, but y'now - we don't get those too much in forums these days.

Price Tag>value of games

basically the game library doesnt match up to the price. The problem with the PS3 is that its to expensive for the lack of a great library. SO expect to see more success for the PS3 once the library starts to build. Until then PS3's library isn worth that price tag.jg4xchamp

I know the main reason you buy a console is for games. That's not the whole pie my friend. I personally think PS1 blew out N64, even though N64 had a great library, was it had a CD player also. Same goes for DVD player on the PS2. It's the multimedia functions that separates PS consoles from others. It's like asking for a car with no CD player, A/C, rooftop, and leather sits. You highly value something that is a giving. Yes, a car is going to get you to A to B. Yes, a console is going to have games to play. Games are the most important factor, but what separates consoles from each other are the other features each one exclusively has.

In comparison to Wii, hell yeah it does..But 360 of course has the best library as of now.
