gta 4 and ac both started development on ps3. rockstar made an engine specifically for ps3 for this game so the game will look better on ps3. cod4 who knows, guess we will have to wait and see. i exspect developers will have better looking games this year on ps3 considering its 2nd generation software. i wouldn't exspect there to be any diffeence between multi platforms now unless they started on ps3 which we all know is more powerful then 360.

Discuss. Textures might be better in all of those games.SpecialForcesOpThe PS3 version of Oblivion has better looking textures than the 360 version and Jade Raymond of AC also commented on the PS3's textures in AC possible looking a tad better than the 360 version. Also, HOME will be launched in September so trophies will be available for all of those games on the PS3.

Actually if I'm not mistaken GTA4 has already been shown running on 360 hardware, I wonder why?
And as for Assassins Creed it was a multiplat title announced over a year ago but people thought it was a PS3 exclusive so they assume it was created for the PS3 ground up which may well be wrong as well.
No way to tell. There was a rumor floating around a long time ago that the 360 version of Assassian's Creed would have superior AI, but that might have gotten shot down, not sure.

You need to do some better fact checking my friend.
Development began on the 360 according to Rockstar, simply because it was available first, and they maintain there isn't a target console.
And no, they didn't make the engine specifically for PS3, I think a previous game from Rockstar on 360 also featured the Engine.

But if you mean just between 360 and ps3, it will look better on 360 if they do a bad job at porting it over to the ps3.

It's odd they made the engine specifically for the PS3 when it was first released on a 360 game.

According to the latest issue of PSM who has been in talks with Rockstar North, the next GTA game is going to look really good, thanks to a all new game engine especially developed for the for PS3.
Rockstar North is creating a specialized game engine for PS3 that will bring GTA 4 to life to a degree that the PS2 games could only hint at. Specifically, they're going to be using the high data transfer bandwidth of the Cell CPU, RSX GPU, and Blu-ray Disc to use several streams of game info simultaneously. The game's city- unfortunately yet to be even hinted at- will still be free roaming and seamless, but broken down into smaller, more detailed areas at the engine level, into which the game designers are going to be able to pour more textures, more object variety, and tons of details (such as discarded soda cans with their own physics), just for starters. The goal is a city that's less repetitive and where everything - and everyone- looks and acts more like they would in the real world on every level.

No they didn't, GTA4 is running on the rage engine, the same engine that Tabel Tennis used. And if memory serves, Assassin's Creed was originally announced as project assassin at X05.

Also, doesn't your source strike you as problematic seeing as how it's from almost 2 years ago, is long before GTA4 was fleshed out and doesn't seem to mention the RAGE engine, the engine in question?
