Is it safe to say now that the 360 is the best console this gen?

I feel after this many years it is safe to say the 360 is the best console of the gen.

-Most AAA games

-Most AA games

-Most A games

-game library size

-Best console for multiplats

-Most million + seller games so it has the most popular games also

-IMO and it seems most gamers that the 360 has the best controller

-Best online service

-Best shooter series -Halo AAA ever single time when it is a shooter even Uncharted is only AAA 50% of the time

-Best racing series

-Most fighting games

-now that all consoles have motion controls the 360 has the most original

It is the WORST system ever built. Highest defect rate ever.

Have to pay for online play = worst system for online multiplayer.

Its neck and neck battling for second place, the people have voited with their dollar and that vote when to the Wii.

Ok So great facts so far from the PS3 fans :lol: To be fair though the console that is pretty much behind the 360 in pretty much everything what can they say? The PS3 is behind the 360 in AAA games, AA games, A games, Sales, amount of games, multiplat performance, online, game sales, motion controlers and on and on and onrybe1025

each system has its pros and cons.

the Wii can count on top notch first party exclusive games, actual games, not just the usual shooters. but it lacks third party support and the graphics leave much to be desired.

the 360 has a great third party support, best platform to develop for, but it could do more in the exclusive department. and personally I find it absurd to pay for online. and the console itself feels cheap.

the ps3 is a great multimedia system and has a very good first party support, counting on great devs like Naughty Dog. but their mistake was to make such a complicated system to develop for and you can't expect developers to lose their head to make multiplat games perfrom like the 360's counterpart. also, system updates are a disadvantage. Bluray is a nice thing to have, which makes the Ps3 a good piece of technology rather than just a gaming device.

All in all I think the Ps3 is the better deal considering how much it offers to the costumer, but I wouldn't be able to makedo without Nintendo games, because this gen is too much focused on shooters and I'm tired of them.

The 360 does have the best game library according to reviewers and the largest library - I dont care about launch titles or outdated games from 2007.

PS3 had a better year in 2010, 2009, and it only keeps getting better.

It is also more popular then the PS3 in console sales and game sales. - Doesn't effect you or me in any way.

The 360 has better multiplats - A few thousand pixels or some extra AA don't make much difference. I have a PC that actually makes a difference.

I cant really call a definitive system for this gen. All three are great, but the 360 happens to be my least favorite. This gen is about preference more than ever imo.

I agree with the general point you're trying to make.

I also agree about GTA IV. I also agree that MGS4 is not deserving of such a score, but not for the same reason. If you power play through a MGS game without taking the time to explore around, mess with the mechanics, items, weapons, enemy AI, etc... and really just enjoy the sandbox situations they put you in then you're doing it wrong. Especially if you don't intend on going back through it. MGS4 had plenty of glaring problems, but the game length and amount of content wasn't one of them.

And then SMG2. Why would you deny a lengthy game polished to a ridiculous level that stays amazing and fresh pretty much from beginning to end such a great score? A game should be judged by its own merits and not be docked because it had a predecessor. Especially when it does everything sooooo much better.

The console that had the most impact this gen is the Nintendo Wii. It had the games. It had the sales. It will probably be remembered more than both the 360 and PS3.

Wish i could agree with you as an Xbox 360 user, and maybe a couple years ago or last year i would have, but the PS3 has caught up dramatically, and the fact that we have to pay for online isn't made up by the little deals such as faster to recieve map packs in black ops. Also the console is unreliable, having faced the red rings of death myself.

PS3 has exclusives like MGS, Gran Turismo, Twisted Metal (Upcoming), and more so although i'd say the 360 is still ahead in terms of exclusives it's not like we are getting all of the cake if ya know what i mean.
