Is it safe to say now that the 360 is the best console this gen?

No.

Everyone has different preferences of what they like. I know people who like the PS3 the most this generation and play it the most. I know people who play the 360 the most and seem to prefer it over the rest. Myself, I like the Wii the most.

It's totally up to the player - All the features and their value will be different per user.

While it is technically better if you look at library quantity and critic reviews for them, etc. I still prefer the PS3's library and features as a whole over the 360, regardless they're both good systems. I'd really like to play my 360 more but I don't like spreading myself between two systems.

Sure but more impressive is that the 360 will likely be remembered as the best console evah :o it's been a heck of a ride from 2005 till now but especially with about 2 years still to go until next gen officially starts. :shock:

come on dude, the X360 has more triple A games cus when the console came out some of its exclusives like Call od Duty 2 and Perfect Dark where overrated due to the HD hype. Perfect Dark Zero is garbage and gamespot scored it with a 9/10 while Killzone 3 is a 8.5. :roll:

I dont use my xbox because everything worthwhile besides halo is on pc also...ps3 has better exclusives, but pc still has the best ones ;p. Hell i play my nintendo ds more than my xbox.

The year isn't over, the generation certainly isn't.

360 has had a strong start but a weak sauce 2 years.

while Wii, PC, and Ps3 are just trampling over it in terms of everything you mentioned rybe.

the only safe thing to say is that 360 is a great console... whether or not its the best is subjective.. Personally i still prefare PS3 over 360..

Its good, but not the best. There is no best consoles this year, the 360 has a high failure rate and a online membership feethat is expensive to some, PS3 isnt the best because Sony is taking away so many features that made the sales slogan "it only does everything" make sense, and the Wii isnt the best because of its lack of HD according to sw.

I have liked the 360 the best overall but tbo it's close.

it could have easily gone the other way though.

had i not personallyhad more fun with games like ace combat and saints row 1 and everything on xbla more than thngs like demons souls and mgs and the psn downloadables then i would be saying ps3.

for people that loved the ps3 exclusives and didn't mind putting up with psn the ps3 is an easy pick for them to make as best this gen.

my view at this point is that making fun of the 360 for not being the current go to system for gamers basically makes the same amount of sense as ridiculing your grandfather for having a crappy time in the 100M dash.

Might be the best when you can only afford one platform this gen. (Though Kinect, paying for online sucks. And the hardware was horrible.)

It always seems most people on this site who hate "casual" games, or motion games, have never given them a chance in the first place.

There are plenty of fantastic casual games that have come out in the past. Roller Coaster Tycoon, The Sims, and Plants vs Zombies to name a few.

I can never quite understand why if you like games like The Witcher, or Counter Strike, or The Elder Scrolls then that somehow means you can't like casual games.

everything the topic creator said is accurate and you basicaly said besides not having two AAAA's(it has one with GTA4) he's right and the 360 is the better console. so why are you writing me for if we agree he's right? nearly even doesn't mean anything...if the gen ended now the ps3 would have lost to the 360. are we suppose to give the ps3 the victory because it allmmoossttt, NEARLY, beat the 360 6 years into this gens life lol? even though last gen is was the dominant console...i think thats more of a reason to look and say how bad the ps3 is doing than say how good its doing. a loss is a loss and losing is losing...cows need to stop trying to make people give the ps3 a pitty win.
