The 360 and PS3 simply have their outputs calibrated differently. By default the 360 usually appears more saturated, while the PS3 appears brighter and somewhat washed out. Ideally you should calibrate your TV seperately for each input source, but it takes a bit of work and not all TV's support this.

Exactly, I have different calibration settings for my 360 and PS3 to both of them to look their best.
Exactly just like my charter hd box is a different setting than my dish hd box for my display. You have to calibrate for each source. Turning on I think Rgb full helps alot on the ps3 cause your dvd drive and games will display with the calibration from your settings when you do a dvd calibration disk on the ps3. If you do not turn that on you will have to have 2 different settings for the ps3 for movies and games. Also that setting helps the brightness and contrast issue that alot of games would tend to look washed out on the ps3 aswell.
But once you get a good dvd calibration done on your set and ps3 I promise you'll be good as gold :)
they both are capable of the samething, both can do the low resolution of 1080p and both the same colors, just on the ps3 you have to manually apply them in the setting menu.
