OT, I think it may be merely conincidence that this has happened, or the fact that the PS1, PS2 and DS had almost 2-3x more games than the competition could also be a factor.
The console that always wins is the one which has the most games. Atari 2600 had the most games, NES did, PS1 did, PS2 did, Wii did, Game Boy/Game Boy Color did, GBA did, DS did. Perhaps the only exception to this unwritten rule was the Sega Genesis which was outsold by the SNES (if by not a huge difference).

Honestly, why do Cows treat Sony like they are somehow... differernt from all the other companies in that they actually care about their consumer. Stop worshipping them as Gods, they care only about money just like all the others.
Ignorant people saying JRPG's suck have probably just played the first hour of FF13 or something. JRPG's are some of the best games of all time, even if the genre has been a bit weak this gen.
