Black Friday is coming up, a lot of people I know own an Xbox 1. Would it be a wise decision to buy an Xbox 1 for multiplayer games (plus exclusives) and keeping my PC for single player games?
Depends how cheap you can get one for, bear in mind whilst future Xbox games will all be on pc - there are still some masterpieces or great games like Gears of war 2,3, Sunset Overdrive, Halo, Older Forza games which can only be played on Xbox one and backwards compatibility.
I think it's great there is at least one of these threads on SW each day. My advice would be to look at the games on offer for the xbox one and then base your decision on that.
Most games will be multiplat except for maybe Halo. And I expect there to be a big growth in cross play between Xbox One/Scorpio and PC. I'd wait to see how this pans out before wasting your money TC. Just to add context, I got an Xbox One at launch, decided to upgrade my PC when MS started dumping shit left and right (Kinect and exclusives), with a GTX 750 Ti (have a GTX 1060 now), and then eventually got rid or the Xbox One, it's a pointless combination. Don't regret getting rid of it for a second.
If you have to get a console, get a PS4. Or save your self some money and get a Steam Link, it's the same thing, play games you could play on your PC elsewhere. £40 Steam Link, £50 with a controller, or a £300 or whatever Xbox.
Well as always it depends on how interested you are into the exclusives. I own all systems this gen, but if I had to return one, I would return my xOne, it's my least played system (including WiiU, Vita and mobile)
If you have a 4k TV and want a 4k disk player sure (specifically speaking of the xbone S) if not, no...lol absolutely not, you'd be better off with a Wii U for exclusives since xbone has none that aren't coming to PC.
This is a terrible forum to pose that question. I enjoy mine, but that's just me. Individual experiences vary. What you'll get here are people who overly praise it, or people who've never played on one and hate it.
It's not worth getting an Xbox one even if you don't own a gaming PC. May as well get a wiiU or a ps4 instead but you're be better off waiting to see what that Scorpio bollax is like or better yet, just buy/upgrade a good pc to game on.

He already has a PC.
Did anyone read his post? He said a bunch of his friends are buying an Xbox One and he wants to be able to play with them. Very few games are PlayAnywhere right now, so if he wants to play with friends on Xbox One, he will need an Xbox One.
Are you running windows 10? If so, then you're covered. If not and you don't plan on upgrading to W10 then get the X1S. In the end, no other human being can tell you what is of worth to you. I have a PC running W10 and still own an X1S because I have friends that will never game on PC and I like gaming with them.
If you want a 4k player, it's the cheapest on the market so get it for that. If you just wanting to play games and you have a good enough PC, doesn't make sense cause all the games is going to PC.
I only use my XB1 for NHL 17 and Forza 6 because I can not play those on PC. If you have a good PC, XB1 is a total waste unless there are still some exclusives you must play. PS4 is shit too because there are not many good exclusives. Mine is a very good dust collector. I will wipe off the dust when The Last Guardian comes out.
Take the $400 you would spend on getting the Xbone, a year of Live, and a game and buy a monitor with G-Sync or Freesync. Then run the HDMI cable you were using to your HDTV.
Congratulations, you just got a meaningful PC gaming upgrade and an XBox One for the price of an XBox One. Don't be stupid.
If you're going to play a LOT of multiplayer with your friends, Xbox One's are really cheap now so there's no reason not to. If you won't be playing a whole lot, you might as well stick with your pc..
Did MS said all future Xbox games are going to be on the PC or will some stay exclusive on the Xbox Console? This point I am not sure on and I don't think MS has come out and made it more clear.
I think so, I'm grabbing an Xbox One S soon to go along with my PC. For me, I'll play all my games on the Xbox. And any online game, I'll grab on PC to play with my friends. Plus I enjoy earning achievements for my games, gives me incentive to fully beat the game
Unless you really love Halo, no. Now that the Forza and Gears of War series are being released on the PC, Halo is the only thing the Xbox One really has.
