I'm not a lemming but Western games like Fable, Jade Empire, Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series are a lot of fun. I prefer them over JRPGs. I've already played a lot of JRPGs back on the Turbo Duo, Sega CD and SNES...The graphics are great these days, but it's feeling kind of stale...

nope..i have played final fantasy 4-6 and 10, skies of Arcadia, morrowind,sword of mana(snes), star ocean (snes), kotor,and a few others i cant remember right now
Kotor 1/2, Super Mario RPG, Skies of Arcadia, Morrowind, Oblivion, Jade Empire, Fable, etc. You always hear about Kotor because it was an amazing game.
Even Japanese developers beleive the West is taking the lead with some great ideas. Also, Kotor is brought up so much, because its so highly rated. That tends to happen with games like that.
I hate JRPGs. It's such a POS genre, more guilty of recycled cliches than any other genre.

Their are some jrpg that's taking a much better route than most jrpg. For example; ffxiii, and white knight. It seems sqaure and level 5 finally see that gameplay is more important. Too bad Hironobu Sakaguchi's is still following those old, boring, traditional way; he know how to tell a story, but he just doesn't know how to make a game.
If it were not for WRPGs I wouldnt have ever touched the RPG genre with a 10 foot pole. I REALLY dont care about JRPGs that goes for Chrono Trigger, FF series, even Lost Oddesey and Blue Dragon or any JRPG.

For the Xbox they've had... KOTOR 1 KOTOR 2 Fable/ The Lost Chapters Jade Empire Morrowind/Game of the Year Edition... Two of which are on my favorite games of all time list...

And Final Fantasy is the only RPG sonyfans talk about in RPG threads. So is that the only RPG sonyfans have played? Maybe they should broaden their horizons and play WRPGs. See, it works both ways.
See...it can be done both ways. Making a generalization about one group simply because someone mentions a game as good as KOTOR is a joke. Keep that in mind when posting in the future.

I personally have a 360 and was incredibly impressed with KOTOR. That being said, i've been playing RPG's since Final Fantasy games on the SNES. TC has failed.

jrpgs suck. Chrono Trigger was the only good one and that was on the snes. wrpg's are much more fun and for a person who loves star wars(like I do) kotor was amazing and would get a 10 from me.

I used to be a big fan of JRPGs during the PS1 era, but it kinda just got old after a while. It's always the same main character with some sort of memory loss who has to save the world (or humanity) from some unknown evil. WRPGS have obtained my attention because they actually have plots and storylines that are different. Although incidentally, I guess KOTOR fell under the above discription of JRPGs.... Dammit!
European devs are currently stomping on Japanese developers. (imo) If I see one more feminine male lead, talking animal, random woods encounter, turn-based battle system or tough lone wolf type guy making up for his dark past by helping the fem male lead I'm gonna puke.Â

QFT You cant say all 360 users never played a JRPG i've acutally played every FF main series from 1 - 10 and also plenty more RPGs of all kind on all consoles. I love my 360 and call myself a lemming

Have you played KOTOR, honestly anyone who likes those kinds of games has to play this game atleast once. One of my top ten fav games all time and easily best storyline in gaming history IMO
