Is Mario relevant anymore to gaming?

Is Mario relevant anymore to gaming? Yes
are u guys still look forward to any of his sequel or side-games(kart, tennis)? I mostly look forward to his adventures rather than his side games.  The only side game I do like is the Mario Kart series.
