Of course he will always be king. He saved the gaming industry back in the 80's from all the crap Atari and the other companies were releasing which crashed gaming.

Not in my gaming world he isn't. Hell outside of Mario Kart, I won't waste my time or money on any Mario games.

"What" mario are we talking about exactly ? in terms of good mario games... the only good ones are the Console ones ( Super mario world, Mario 64, mario sunshine, and Mario Galaxy ) and just in general.. Metroid, Zelda, and Pokemon are better games IMO.

No. Rayman has beaten him soundly as of late. XBLA and LBP have both out did him as well. I am sick of Mario. Mario this Mario that, Golf, basketball, Paper this, Kart that......Nintendo has been in a coma for 5 years now. What have they been doing? The N64 and Gamecube were great! Whatever....PC and 360 keeps me happy.

As a huge Nintendo fan, i have to say, no. His games are still remarkable and incredible, but he is not the only one with amazing games.

[QUOTE="SNIPER4321"]LOL no. Its a Childish game on Childish platform [nintendo]Mitazaki

and here we have the insecure gamer. so what if it has a child like theme to it, it doesn't make it any less of a good game if it does, as when you get older you realise these things don't matter and no one cares what game or form of entertainment you like, be it "childish" or not. so many instead say it's not your style of game or maybe preferred genre, as dismissing something with a statment like "Its a Childish game on Childish platform" only shows how childish you are.

"Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

There is no question that Mario is very popular with toddlers and the elderly.
