Is Metroid Prime 3 still hyped AAA?

The official review will be posted in less than 6 hours, and this is the last change MP3 can escape floppage. The official poll showsed AAA hype by a landslide, but judging from the latest lackluster preview, do you now think it's more likely to receive AA? We can keep the current AAA hype and hope for the best, otherwise having SW erupt into another 8.8; or we can realistically accept that GS will continue to stray from the norm and proclaim it's worse than MP2 through its score.

I was too late for the hype thread. But my prediction is AA on GS, AAA on Gamerankings.

you know... 1up's reviews are a bit... odd...

In short, it doesn't matter if you've never played a Metroid game before Prime will kick your ass and unrelentingly own you. It's truly one of the best games to emerge in recent years for any platform, and you owe it to yourself to play it

Yeah, I agree. In light of a game like BioShock just barely achieving AAA status, I think most people around here have lowered their expectations as far as scores go. Gamespot looks to have become more strict with their reviews.

9.0 here and I'm sticking with it, even with Greg K. gone and Wii haters at GS.

Nevertheless, GS will have one of the lowest scores for the game, probably be at least 94% at GameRankings after 50 reviews.

GS: 9.0

IGN:9.6

Average: 9.5

It will be far worse than the TP incident if MP3 gets 8.5...DA_B0MB
