Your comparison makes no sense. I guess you didn't know that you can use any wireless adaptor with the 360 and they cost as little as $30.00. The ps3 doesn't ship with HD cables or mic but you assume everyone wants w-fi and Xbox Live Gold for the 360?

EDIT: though etherway HDMI is $10.00...a mic is also like $10.00 (or wireless u can use any bluetooth headset $20.00)

EDIT 2: also its not what people want the articles point is M$ isnt giving you the most value, thats why they compaire it directly to what the PS3 has to offer.

But what this article fails to realize is that if someone wanted a harddrive, they could buy the 60GB 360 for 299 instead of buying the arcade and then adding on the harddrive. No one would do that. The arcade isn't for people that want a harddrive, it is for people that just want to play some casual games.

also even if they changed it to the 60GB model it would still be 429.94, but it has 60GB instead lol

If someone is going to buy a 360 with the intention of playing online, and using a lot of harddrive space, they are not simply going to buy the cheapest, they are going to do their homwork first. And I did understand the point of the article, the person that wrote it is a Sony fanboy that hates MS and is using his position to voice his biased opinion. And the 60gb SKU is 299.

If someone is going to buy a 360 with the intention of playing online, and using a lot of harddrive space, they are not simply going to buy the cheapest, they are going to do their homwork first. Let's ignore the fact that Nintendo and Sondy did the same thing in previous generations.

The reason it's ridiculous is because many people don't need to buy a hard drive or Wi-Fi adapter. Automatically adding peripherals on and claiming it's "true cost" is higher than the PS3's "true cost" is ridiculous.

Lower the price of the hard-drives M$.
