Their probely on the same level as bungie, good but they cant stop rehashing the same things over and over.

id say either nintendo or blizzard, blizzard never had a game that haven grown into a huge sucess, and of course it made one of my favorite old school games, Lost Vikings

I don't think they've even been in the top 5 since N64 days. I mean they make a lot of games but so much of it is just the same damned design with some gimmick to it. Lazy_Boy88

its impossible to say that nintendo is the best when all they ever seem to do is reuse the same damn characters over and over and over again. what makes them a great dev, is there ability to keep these old licenses fun.....but its getting really old

Near them are Capcom, Konami, Square-Enix and of course Blizzard. Also Ubisoft is making a name.

Lets not forget that they have the only game of the year contender this generation aside from oblivion, where you don't have a gun and blast stuff. So what do you think? I think on some genre's they are. Some genre's they have not touched. I beleive pound for pound they are still the heavyweight champions of the world.Nin360

Umm... No... If the PS2 didn't pound the Gamecube and the PS1 didn't pound the N64 then you might have been onto something. Nintendo hasn't been on the top for decades and I doubt they ever wiill. It's only a matter of time before the Wii fad is long gone and forgotten. Also, the chance that a Wii game actually wins game of the year is slim to none. The PS3 or 360 will be king. I just don't know which.

I'm surprised how anyone could put up Capcom. Don't take it the wrong way, they make some great games, but they make some bad, bad games.

Companies like Blizzard and Valve consistantly put out games that are Game of the Year nominies.

I'd put Blizzard above everyone else, closely followed by Valve and Nintendo.

Nintendo as a dev, not nintendo as a console maker, but you do make a point. How many devs could keep a console alive with almost no good third party suport? as for the wii and not having a GOTY, SMG is now the highest rated game of all time. I think it has a shot
