is official: nvidia says 8600gtxxx beats xbox 360

NVIDIA says that now your Xbox 360's graphics have been officialy overtaken by a notebook GPU ( The 8700M)

basically the 8700MGT is faster than the "vanilla 8600gt" but similar to the XFX 8600GT XXX

i say "similar" because the XFX 8600GT XXX version has even higher shader clock than the 8700MGT

The 360's card also costs less than $150, or have you forgotten that a 360 is not just a GPU, but all the other stuff that makes up a console as well.

Must suck for PS3 owners. They have an outdated GPU.

i find it funny when lemmings bash cows for there gpu being out dated. but when someone shows them a 150.00 gpu that pwns the gpu that is found in the 360, the lemmings all of sudden want to throw the 360 gpu is outdated , of course 8600 will out run it. here in SW we have a word for that its called HYPOCRITESalfy13

You are guys are acting like this card is the next best thing sense slice bread, there are a few and I mean few adjustments to the shadows in lost planet. Other than that they are the same and secondly the footprints look better on the 360 than the pc. If you think while I'm playing lost planet that I'm sitting there looking at the shawdows to make sure they are not jaggy your nuts.

1. The PS3 is said to be more powerful than the 360 (which I believe to an extent) and yet once again (just like last gen) hermits are focusing their energies on M$'s console.. :|

2. PC tech is constantly upgrading.. Why on bloody earth would you continue to compare it to a closed platform is beyond me...
