is official: nvidia says 8600gtxxx beats xbox 360

2 Years later and they finally make something better then the 360 GPU...

Must suck for PS3 owners. They have an outdated GPU.

You are guys are acting like this card is the next best thing sense slice bread, there are a few and I mean few adjustments to the shadows in lost planet. Other than that they are the same and secondly the footprints look better on the 360 than the pc. If you think while I'm playing lost planet that I'm sitting there looking at the shawdows to make sure they are not jaggy your nuts.

Now that's just damage control son. If you look you can see the 360 footprints are black blobs, while the pc version actually looks like a foot shape.

Sorry bud, but that's a low end card. Anything below $200 is considered low end. $200-300 is mid/high, and $300+ is high end.

It'll cost you at least 1500$ for a PC that will be able to run Crysis and that is with on board sound and not using Vista which is a RAM hog.

How well will Crysis run is up in the air, whenever a new game engine is released people playing the game can only hope their hardware holds up.

They released a budget notebook video card which is better then the X360's GPU. In essence, the videocard is comparable to the X1800 in performance, and as I noted many times before, is roughly same or better then the X360's gpu. people are forgetting that 8600 GPUs are fully DX10 compatible, and decode video better than 8800s. Xenos has 48 unified shaders vs 32 8600, we all know how crappy ATI's unified shaders are, 320 of ATIs shaders can't catch up to 128 Nvidia's. The 8600 also has more mem bandwidth 32gb/s vs 22gb/s. 8600GT is a great card, but it can't even beat the 7900GT and up, that is pretty disappointing. since 8600>Xenos, and 7900>8600, that means 7900>Xenos. Same can be said about RSX. And here lemms tried claiming that xenos > 7900.muscleserge
