Yes, the new console is an abomination.
For me the PS died after the PS2, and even then the PS2 wasn't that good.
PS1 was just much worse than N64 is pretty much all ways. Crap hardware, the best games were only average. Had many crappy ports.
PS2 was mostly praised for its vast library. Too bad the library was crap. Coupled with bad hardware again.
Sony sucks. Always have.

Yeah Sony was handing out game licenses like free candy during the PS2 days and because of that 95% of games released for it were trash.
PS1 had some good games like F1 97, man i must of played at least 50 seasons on that game.
But both consoles had one thing in common, and that is Sony's awful, awful first party games, they were trash back then, and lets be honest nothing changed with the PS3, PS4 and won't change with the PS5.
Oh and i bought the PS1 & 2 at a garage sale so Sony never saw any of my money 😁

Sony didn't make the Series S. Nice try, troll.

He is talking about the PS5, which is a flop.
These threads kinda reminds of Dragonball, where you think it's all over and then the villain gets another form.

Nintendo sold about 33 million N64 consoles. Sony sold over 100 million PS1s. The reality is the PS1 absolutely destroyed the N64 for sales. No different from today the vast majority of gamers do not give a shit about hardware specs short of a few morons with nothing better to do. The reality is people care more about games and the PS1 is where games like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear, all franchises still going on today got their start. PS1 was a fantastic console, one of the best gaming consoles ever made.
PS2 took a step back, though it did sell over 150 million copies, a lot of that is because Sony was able to take the money and the reputation they earned on the PS1 and market the PS2 to more countries, but IMO it didn't have the same kind of games that made the PS1 great and many of the titles that were great on PS1, found their way to other platforms in the next generation. Xbox Live convinced millions of people to go that route as well. The PS2 cannot be knocked for its success, but IMO it would have been nothing without the PS1.
Not dying but they will likely end up like Blockbuster, on top of the mountain but suddenly fades away due to being unable to adapt to new trends and technology

1. Sure. Rihanna also sold more than Pink Floyd. Yeah, I think you're right in that people care more about games than hardware. In the Wii's case though, people didn't really care for the games or hardware power. Just that they could waggle. So there are many factors that make a console a success.
2. I disagree. Better than PS2, but still mostly average. Pales in comparison to NES or SNES or N64 or Sega Master System or Sega Mega Drive. Also always hated the controllers.
Sony is just boring. Like most people. All just my opinion, of course.
@Litchie: Bwahahaha, dear lord you have shit taste.
But you have a shit personality and debating skills. So I win.
Not really, consoles can be played by the whole family, and not everyone can afford a high-end PC just to play high-end games of PS5 and XBOX series X.

😆 Playstation has been successful in every generation it's been around. Can't say the same for Nintendo or Xbox lol.
Asking as PS exclusives are releasing on PC ( Kingdom Hearts series , Days Gone , Yakuza 3/4/5/6, Horizon Zero Dawn , Persona 4 Golden , Persona 5 Strikers , A legit source claiming God of War and Ghost of Tsushima on its way to PC ETC ). Pretty sure , more games will be ported to PC along the way by end of PS 5 lifecycle as it makes sense from commercial point as PS games on PC get a big sales boost ( See Persona 4 Golden for example). See Xbox , its a win win situation for both PC and Xbox fans regarding games.
Playstation once famous for its exclusivity like Nintendo , losing its games to PC with time.
Please correct me if im wrong,
Thanking everyone in davance.
LOL is PlayStation "dying"? Coolyfett sees things have not changed on this forum....
