Is PS3 for the hardcore and 360 for the casuals?

Must be Hardcore to have the awesome quality games like MGS which is AAAAE exclusive, Hardcore to have the highest price because Casuals only buy 360 because its cheap like the Wii rather than PS3 (BR FTW and Other awesome Multi-Media devices). Though you could say that PS3 is least Hardcore as it has the least games worth playing, It has most Multi-Media Devices rather than being a Gaming Machine (Jack of all trades and master of none). Has terrible tacked on Motion Controls (Six-axis) and the price is laughable.

Whats 360 got? Nothing. No quality AAAAE games (more of everything else though). Has no Blu-Ray and other Multi-media devices (Cheaper Price) and has no Motion Controls because pads suckz.

So is PS3 for Hardcores? Hardcore silly people or Hardcores.

Its no use to convince other people that a system is more "hardcore" or "casual" than other...everyone interprets his own taste, and if they are having fun, who are we to stop that?

I chose PlayStation, mainly because of the graphics, in my opinion, and the games that gives me more interest are in this system.... im more adapted to the controller as well

Well one person's idea of "Harcore" could be different than yours. I will admit that the PS3 is a good value system, considering the Blu-ray, free online and built-in wi-fi, but most my friends own 360's and it has the best party chat system available this generation (if you play games where communication is key for victory), so that is why I chose to get one. Do I play that often? No. But I feel the Xbox 360 offers serious gamers a better online experience when playing with their friends.

wii is probably more casual then xbox360 buts its aimed for a larger group of people 6-70 i would guess

unlike the xbox360 which is aimed for people of the age of 12-36

wii is the only real casual and hardcore console this gen just like ps2 was last gen, thats also why it sold more then the hardcore consoles

Neither is aimed at "hardcore" No one cares for hardcore gamers. There isn't enough money in it. Catering for stuck up "hardcore" gamers is the best way to lose money.

I somewhat agree, but in my opinion a lot of those people choose not to see a difference, because of some type of hate towards the format.

I love my Xbox.

Both were for the harcore with Wii being for the casuals, but lately Microsoft have been going a bit casual (avatars, natal, you're in the movies) while Sony have stayed Hardcore and even their motion control is better suited to the hardcore then project Natal is.LiquidShnake
